  1. What did you do in the peace corps? I bet some of that experience will help. Good luck on your interview!
  2. Did the online interview. My first 4 answers were definitely longer than the last 2. But I still think it went well. Its still just all a whirlwind because of the whole state approval thing. Anyway, does anyone know how many people have applied for this cohort?
  3. Oh, Wow, what an emotional roller coaster!!! So apparently, Pennsylvania is back on the list & I need to schedule my online interview. I am so surprised. I really lost hope after my last conversation with them. I couldn't believe they changed the states after I already interviewed. But I guess all that doesn't matter anymore, since PA is back on the list. So I'll have my online interview later this week, now. Wish me luck!!!
  4. They called me a week after my interview. Apparently the decision was made by the academic affairs department after I already interviewed. It's heartbreaking.
  5. I live near Philadelphia, Pa. I was hoping to do it here or in New Jersey. Both states were approved before. I'm very disappointed. I'm hoping the states get approved again
  6. So... Apparently the approved states were just changed by the associate vice chancellor of academic affairs. It just happened after i did my phine interview. I am heartbroken!!!! My state and a neighboring state where I have family are both no longer included. The program has gone from being accepted in 24 states down to only 11. So unless that changes, I am no longer eligible for the program :'( good luck to you all.
  7. ces419-- congrats on getting the online interview! I had my phone interview Thursday. It seemed like it went really well, but I have not received the email about the online interview yet. Hopefully it comes soon... getting nervous
  8. laud0057--Wow I didn't know there was a time limit! That is pretty stressful. I understand. I feel like I am good with written communication, but I definitely need time to think about it & revise. I guess there is not much time for that. Anyway, I'm sure you did great! Do you think the email interview is the last thing we will hear from the program until May? Good luck!
  9. Thanks laud0057 :) And congrats on getting an online interview! I guess that's the second step this year (reversed phone & online interviews like you said). How soon are you doing the email interview?
  10. Ces419, for the TEAS I got 95.2% reading, 73.3 % Math, 87.5% Science, and 96.7% English/Language Use, with an adjusted score of 88.7%. I am kinda bummed about my Math score, but it is above the program mean, still. Hopefully its good enough.... How did you do?
  11. Hi All! I just got an email today about the phone interview too. My phone interview is next Thursday. So nervous! laud0057, did you find your phone interview difficult or pretty much what you expected? ces419, that's great you have yours next week too! Can't wait to hear about it :)
  12. Hi! I worked as a surgical tech for 10 years and have more recently worked as a nursing assistant for 1 year on the telemetry/oncology unit at my hospital. I don't have my certification yet, but I am enrolled in the American Red Cross CNA Program. Its a month long and they wrote a letter to UWOsh saying I would have my certification by the deadline. I am just nervous I will not get accepted because I don't have my certification, yet, even though they said it was good enough for the Red Cross to send a letter. I also have a BS in Bio and will have a Master's in Public Health in May.
  13. Hi ces419. I've read up on post from past applicants also... I guess I'm just really nervous. This is my first time applying too. I know they only accept 30 people into each cohort, and it seemed like a lot of people have applied more than once, which made me even more nervous. I wonder when the email interviews will begin.
  14. Hi! I just sent out my application for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh 2nd degree Accelerated Online Nursing program. If I get accepted I will be in the October 2014 cohort. I was just wondering if anyone else has applied & what your experiences are.
