Alia Healthcare STNA training in Cincinnati
Hello everyone! I am looking to hear about any reviews on Alia Healthcare STNA training in Cincinnati. I am looking to be a CNA while waiting to go to Nursing school if I hopefully get in. If I am admitted I would be most likely starting in January so I figured becoming and STNA and getting some experience will help and could allow me to work while in Nursing school from the 1st semester instead of waiting to finish my 1st semester before being considered qualified to be an STNA or PCA. That and I need to get some money in hand before starting in January if that happens. Anyway I found this after googling for training programs in the Cincinnati area, does anyone know how much it would cost, any fees that are needed etc. Also what other training programs are there in Cincinnati? I saw 2 others at Cincinnati state and Great Oaks. Any input on those programs and any others would be awesome! Also I know some areas say they will train you to become an STNA or PCA free of charge, how long do you usually have to work for them for that to apply? I know it will probably vary by employer but I was curious if there was a typical length of time. Thank you all for your help!

Had my interview the other day, it went well. The program was explained to me, and they asked me questions like why nursing, what are your strength and weaknesses and what it means to be a professional. It was very laid back. If I get accepted I was told I will be part of the January class but on a wait list for August which is not likely as I am #8 ha.

Woo! I just got an offer for an interview, I am pretty nervous about it. What is the interview like? Do they talk about your grades or why nursing?

ABSN or ADN to BSN route in Ohio?
How everyone? I was wondering which route would be better considering my situation. I recently left Optometry school realizing that it may not be for me and was debating between nursing and optometry before I decided on Optometry school. Now that I realize that may have not been for me I am looking into nursing again. If I do a career in nursing I was wondering how difficult it would be to find a job in Ohio as an ADN? It may be faster for me to become an ADN then to go get my BSN, going the route of an ABSN program is doable for me but will probably take longer before I start working as I still have a few pre-req's that is not covered by my BS in Natural Sciences. Is becoming an ADN then going from an RN to BSN a good route in Ohio? I read on here that some hospitals are only hiring BSN's but that depends on the area you are living in. I just want to start working as soon as possible as I already have accumulated some debt from student loans and don't want to be in school forever. Thanks so much for all your help!
