  1. Yay...you got in DeeJ!!! Congrats!! Thanks drad for the class info!
  2. Can someone tell me when classes start?
  3. Any updates on waitlist or petition status?
  4. Thanks for the insight Dee and Gator!
  5. Is notifaction about the petition decision provided by email, letter or phone call? Also, are details provided about why a particular decision was made?
  6. Yes, last 60 credits.
  7. MYarr, I didn't get in either, but am petitioning. You should petition as well! If it doesn't work out, there's always next year :)
  8. Wow! Probably tomorrow or Saturday then. They must have been mailed later then Monday...
  9. I live in Ocala so mine may come today. I don't get off of work until 4:30pm though and I work in Gainesville. I will post if I get something
  10. What time do most of you get your mail? If someone gets a letter this afternoon, please post on here!
  11. Yea, I agree with you all. The lady said to me, " weren't those applications just due on March 1st"? I then had to correct her and tell her that I was inquiring about the application status for the accelerated bsn for which applications were due on December 15th. She then put me on hold and talked to whomever and then followed up to say that the apps were still with admissions committee and that it would be a couple more weeks. I didn't trust her word either and had planned to call back later to try to speak to Ken directly if he were available. I'm glad to know that someone actually spoke to him today and that the decisions are still on schedule to go out today. I was quite taken when she told me it would be a few more weeks. I knew in my head that this couldn't be right.
  12. Hi everyone! I just contacted CON a few minutes ago about the status of applications and was told that decisions have not been made yet and that it will be a couple more weeks before decisions are made because there is still a hold up with the Admissions Committee. I didn't talk to Kenneth Foote directly, but some administrative person that put me on hold to get an answer to my status inquiry. I was hoping letters were being mailed out today as well, but it doesn't sound like they will be. Maybe I would have gotten a different answer if I had spoken to Ken or maybe not...
  13. Liberty1913, It sounds like you talked to Mr. Foote about the status of the application review process??!! It would be nice if they could just make a decision already and send the letters out tomorrow so that some of us could start getting them as early as Saturday or Monday!! I'm just not getting why they have to wait until Monday to send them out! Can't wait for this to be over.....smh
  14. DeeJGator, You called Mr. Foote yesterday to ask if we could pick up the letters? If so, did he mention anything about if they had been mailed out or would be mailed out by the end of the week?
  15. GatorLove, when I dropped the transcripts off, Mr. Foote said he was going back and forth with the admissions committee about a few things. I assumed that meant additional items from various applicants. This was the second time they had reached out to me about missing transcripts though. I haven't tried to call yet. I may not even bother...
  16. Thanks kmcnally! I planned to apply to USF too, but didn't think I stood a chance with just GRE scores and GPA alone. I also took the TEAS for UCF, but scored 1 point below the minimum requirement so they wouldn't allow me to apply. I was a little upset, but not too upset because u had to pay $90 for a background check as part of the app process...ridiculous!
  17. Thanks for the response about Remington GatorLove! I plan on becoming an FNP so I'll definitely be sure to check on this, but hopefully I won't even have to go there if UF sides with me :). Mr. Foote contacted me about missing transcripts on Feb.5th and I had to take them physically to his office because there was some electronic transmission issue. Did anyone else have this issue? It made me a little hopeful because he said the apps were with the Admissions Review Committee then and they were asking for the transcripts with proof of some completed pre-reqs.
  18. Have any of you considered applying to Remington College in Lake Mary, FL? That was my next option if I get rejected from UF. To TLGator, my undergrad major was in Psychology and my Masters was in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The Pharm background I think will help me
  19. kmcnally, Before I applied, I asked him if my app would be automatically disqualified for not meeting the minimum GRE requirements and he said: "Your application to the program will not be automatically disqualified as long as we have a complete application package for the program" Like I said in another post, I think some schools are putting less emphasis on the scores and are looking at the overall performance of the applicant. Now, in schools where the applicant pool is much, much higher, I'm sure these scores are used as a filter. Just my two cents....
  20. Rearding the app status or the GRE scores?
  21. Thanks Dee and I thought the same thing about the avg scores. A lot of schools are putting less weight on these standardized scores and are looking at the overall performance of the applicant. This is the most social networking I've ever done in my life! LOL...I need to get some work done because I don't plan on having this job as of May when we start the program!!!
  22. That makes three of us kmcnally and Deejgator. I scored below on the verbal and didn't have time to retake the GRE before the deadline. I asked Mr.Foote before I applied if my app would be disqualified for this because if it would, I wasn't wasting my time, $ or nerves applying. Here was his response: "Your application to the program will not be automatically disqualified as long as we have a complete application package for the program"
  23. Didn't you apply last year as well GatorLove? I think I remember your posting something about that. If that's the case, I could only imagine how anxious you are about this process! You will get in this time...:)! I'm optimistic that we will all get in! If someone were to want to check on the status of the application review process, would Mr. Foote be the contact?
  24. Yes, Dee...you're probably right. When I log on to my academic record, it shows my primary degree as BS and I graduated from UF in 2011 with a Master's Degree. I suppose ISIS is reflecting the degree I selected on my Post-Bac application, but they should have also changed my maiden name on ISIS based on the Post-Bac application. I did complete my undergraduate degree with them also so who knows...
  25. Aww Drad...you're definitely bursting my bubbles! Lol!!The 2013 blog proves otherwise though. Maybe the registrar and CON have made some changes this year to avoid giving applicants any indication on ISIS of a decision. Hey, but didn't you also mention that UF changed your primary major to NSG under academic record!!??? I'd be reading all into that!!!! Next week just seems like forever away!! What would be worst of all is to be all anxious only to receive a rejection letter...UUUGGHHHHH!!!
