  1. Hello All, So I'm a new grad and figured I'd share my experience with the hiring process. I applied for the OR in April, interviewed in early May and graduated in late May. I received a tentative offer on June 13th, did the physical and started the hiring process with HR immediately after. I passed my nclex on the 21st and then completed the vetpro process. My package went to the nursing board on July 12th. I received a firm offer via phone call on Aug. 2nd and set my orientation for the 22nd. I just got my letter if appointment yesterday. All in all , the process took me 3-4 months, depending on if you want to count the time before I graduated. My only suggestion is once you have your tentative offer, you're pretty much in. It's all on HR at that point to process your paperwork in a timely manner so stay on top of HR with your paperwork. For this VA anyway, it seems it takes a flurry of emails and phone calls for them to get anything done. I'm not saying outright harass them but I never let more the 3-4 weeks go by without communication. Things seemed to magically get done within days of calling and emailing almost every time for me.
  2. I haven't heard anything since I recieved my acceptance letter either...Anyone hear anything about registration or know when we should recieve some further instructions??
  3. Tarbethany, thanks so much for your insight! I really appreciate it! I haven't been able to get an idea until now of how strenuous the schedule is. I have little ones too so its great to hear of someone else in the program in the same situation! Thanks again!
  4. Tarbethany, thanks for posting! what is your daily routine there? I can't seem to find any student reviews on the campus. Are you really as busy as everyone makes it seem? And what is the retention rate? I know the nclex pass rate is really high but what percentage of the class on average even makes it that far? I really appreciate any insight! Thanks
  5. They definitely can't be done yet. The due date for apps was just a week ago. I think they sent out the first wave of acceptance letters to see who is going to formally accept and send in their deposit out of the first wave (we only have 15 days to do so). That way they'll have a better idea of how many seats are still open based in who didn't accept. Just a guess though. I have nothing to back that up...
  6. @ elizabethansley, I hope so! I've been stalking my mailbox! The acceptance call was so quick and I was so excited that I forgot to ask any questions about the process.
  7. Okay thanks! Glad to hear its not just me!
  8. Hello everyone! I'm so glad I found this forum! I was wondering if any of those who were accepted have received their acceptance letters in the mail yet? I got the call back in january (on the snow day) that I was accepted to the Augusta campus but haven't been given any instruction since then....just wondering if there is anything I should be doing while I'm waiting. I saw someone mentioned a deposit earlier??
