  1. I went thru the CNA/HHA program at the Continuing Education Center on Park Blvd., across the street from City College in San Diego, CA. I graduated in Sept. 2013. It was a fantastic program, and the instructors, especially the CNA instructor, were excellent! The classes are FREE, you just have to buy your books, uniform, etc. But, there is a very long waiting list. You can go to their website and sign up to get on the waiting list. I did, then forgot about it. When they finally contacted me, I had to sign up for an orientation appt. right away (I mean immediately!). Pick one of the earliest available appts. that you possibly can, and be on time. There is then a few qualifications that you must meet. Do them immediately, if you want to get in the class. And.....Good Luck!!
  2. Thank you, everyone, for your input regarding the "international nurses assoc.". I was also contacted by mail. The letter had my name (spelled correctly!) and of course, my address. It seemed a little too good to be true. Plus, I only graduated and got my license (CNA!) 3 months ago. I thought it was strange that I was being "recognized". To accept their recognition, I had to go to a website: http://www.myname.com! This is very disturbing to me, especially now that I know it is all a scam!! I will toss out the letter, and probably notify the postmaster in my area about this scam. Thank you very much!
