My TEAS score is in! *Sigh of relief*

My TEAS score is showing that it hasn't been received, either! I took the test at the UCF testing center, so I don't understand why they wouldn't have it.

I waited to apply until the last day, and I was #52 at Oveido. Aleridi8: I don't think that they would count that against you, and I hope that this does make the waiting time shorter! That would be amazing

Thank you, Rachel! :) Haha, hopefully I do get in this time. I hope to see you as well! Tiffani- All of this is so nerve-wracking, I completely understand being anxious! Seminole accepts applicants based on several criteria: Completion of prerequisites, date your last pre-req was completed, completion of an A.A. degree, as well as GPA and test scores. They sort applicants into categories based on those factors. Last year's wait lists 1 and 2 were those that had all of their pre-reqs completed (then arranged by GPA and other factors) and lists 3,4, ect. were students that had in-progress work. This Fall's application pool had an abnormally large percentage of applicants with all of their pre-reqs complete, so that left me towards the back of the line. I was originally told I was 4th on the list, although what I didn't realize was that I was 4th on the 3rd list. Typically anywhere from 4-10 seats open up for the waitlist as people decline their admission, so list 1 has the best chance of getting in, although you could have only 5 people on a list, or no people at all. I'm not sure what the exact criteria are for each list, but I'd imagine the admissions process is similar.

It's almost application time! I can't believe it! I am applying with a 3.6 GPA and a 94% TEAS score. I have an A.A. and completed my last pre-req over this summer.

I was put on the alternate list. I called and was told I am only number 4 on the list! I'll keep my fingers crossed! Congrats to all of you who got in!

So far I haven't gotten an email, hopefully they just haven't gotten to me yet! I noticed that my last two emails from UCF nurse and seminole were sent around 3pm.

I've been checking my email almost every other hour just in case I can't believe it is already time for decisions to go out! Hoping we all get good news tomorrow!!

Yes it is, more so than TEAS scores actually. I only meant to be encouraging, I know we are all stressing out.

I can't believe that we will be hearing back so soon! I have butterflies in my stomach now Kirsten, I was wondering the same thing.

I know a lot of people who applied to both programs and I wouldn't be surprised if most of UCF's Basic program applicants also applied to the concurrent. (Fingers crossed that they didn't!) It would be so nice if we could use the background check that we had completed! Those really add up to a lot of money..

Recalculated GPA is your pre req GPA. I heard that UCF mainly considers overall and science GPA from a Pre-Nursing Association meeting. We have guest speakers come in from UCF's nursing program, and so far they have all seemed to agree that GPA is given more weight in the decision making process than TEAS scores, although obviously both are important. I'd imagine that Seminole is similar.

I know that the amount of applications turned into the Oviedo campus were in the 80's

I found out this semester that I have to take a diet therapy course, so my last pre-requisite will be completed Summer 2014 instead of Spring 2013. I have an A.A., though.

Hi Brittany! From what I've heard, GPA is considered slightly more than TEAS scores. This is all so nerve-racking!! Best of luck to you all, I'll be submitting my application tomorrow!
