  1. Lulu, I would also recommend the book 5 TEAS Practice Tests by McGraw-Hill. I didn't score as high as JunebugMama but I did get a score I was pleased with considering I only studied for 1 week.
  2. FYI, the second email with orientation info for n/w program has been sent.
  3. Check your emails! I just got the second email.
  4. Super excited! Just updated my profile from pre-nursing student to NURSING student...Oh yeah!
  5. Sorry Lily, I only had one choice n/w at Shelby.
  6. FYI, I accepted and received an email back saying that she will send an email tomorrow with additional info.
  7. That being said... YIPPPEEEEE! I'm in I'm in. Even though I applied last cycle and got accepted and figured I would this cycle as well, it's still validating and relieving to FINALLY know for sure....the wait is over at least for us night/weekenders. See you guys at orientation!
  8. No worries Overcomer. You would've gotten a declination letter in the postal mail if there was anything incomplete about your app. Know that for a fact because I got one for a transcript being late the first time I applied. So, for now no news is good news!
  9. No worries jilhil. It was most likely the acceptance letter to the college(they are quick about sending those) and not the nursing program:no:. You will receive an email notifying you of acceptance into the program or a phone call.

No worries dear ...I'm about to begin an ADN program at 36!
  11. I actually went through the process last app cycle. Apps were due beginning of Jan. but the date was pushed back a couple times, weather-related, so I think the cut-off ended up being mid Jan. and I was notified by email of acceptance on 3/10/14. We had 3 days to accept our spot, upon acceptance, additional info was emailed about the background check and orientation. Orientation was scheduled for 4/9/14. So, I feel your pain guys but I don't think it'll be any time before middle/end of June that we find out
  12. I applied for the n/w program. I think I had 210 points.
  13. Another bit of friendly advice for you: Be sure and take a healthcare provider course. I too am AHA CPR AED certified until 2015 but will have to do a healthcare provider course. Most likely I will take it at the Hoover Fire Dept. I believe it's offered the 1st and 2nd Sat of every month and is ~$20.
  14. To my knowledge, the only thing required before orientation is that you have your background check completed. Drug screen, vaccinations and CPR will not be needed for n/w program until 2nd semester when clinicals start. It is advised that you not get your CPR certification too early because it is only good for 2 years and will expire before the program is over if you don't wait until 2nd sem. to complete.
  15. Wowza! Really...so are you tested on the same information each semester or different components? So I guess that's what leads to remediation? I've seen a few posts about that too. Well I think I 'll be ready. I have a dosage calculations book and plan to start seriously practicing just as soon as I know I'm accepted. Thanks for the valuable info MTAC0915:up:
