  1. Hello all, I received a phone call this afternoon, as well! I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. Maybe we can meet up for coffee to get to know one another and possibly talk about living/carpool situations? I will definitely look up the facebook group. For those of you who are still waiting, stay positive.. there's still hope!!
  2. @futurenurseshelly I'm so sorry! Keep your head up, that means there's a better plan out there for you. How did you find out, if you don't mind me asking?
  3. The wait is killing me too! Every time I get a call, I wish and hope it's from a (415) area code number..... However, based on reading previous cohorts posts, the second Friday of April seems like a big day for phone calls!
  4. Thank you @ksfiles, reading your post was very enlightening. It is something we all need to hear/read at this point of the wait.
  5. Hello everyone! It's really nice to see that this board has been picking up. I've applied to both USF and SF state (crossing my fingers) Bachelors of Science, Gerontology at CSUS Health related experience: Volunteered at a hospital for one year- assisted nurses in various departments, one year internship at an adult day care program for adults with dementia, and 2 other skilled nursing facilities. Nursing pre-reqs: 3.7 GRE Writing score: 4 Applying for: GMSN CNS, Adult critical/chronic care @master641215 - My status on SFSU gateway is still registered as incomplete, as well. However, I spoke to one of the admissions counselors and he said that they have been backed up so it's normal to see the status as incomplete, but they are trying their best to accommodate new students for admissions. As long as we submitted our nursing app through NursingCAS before the due date then we are fine. However, I never got an email from Graduate Admissions stating that my app has been forwarded to intended graduate program =/ Anyone happen to know others who applied for the adult critical/chronic care program??
  6. Hi @futurenurseshelly, I just applied to USF and SF state for the adult critical/chronic care program. I know what you mean....the waiting game is probably the hardest part lol. Where else have you applied to?
  7. @futurenurseshelly I would call both of the school's direct nursing department to find out. Best of luck to you!
  8. @StephenAndrews, When were you accepted to USF? Do you mind sharing what the program is lacking? You're not the first person who I've heard that from.
  9. @Lbfb Don't worry. Just be yourself and remember the reasons why you want to become a CM or NP. I interviewed for the CM program, which was one on one. I heard the NP interview consists of a group interview panel style.
  10. Hello @ashcraft... best of luck to you, too! Was it your first time applying to USF?
  11. @Lbfb Not sure how many they interview. In my opinion, the lady who interviewed me was intimidating, I definitely was not prepared for that interview though, so I think it was my fault. Is your interview in Sacramento or Oakland?
  12. @emzie25 Do you remember what number you were on the waiting list? Do you mind sharing any of your stats? I wonder what exactly they are looking for in each candidate. Best of luck to you!
  13. @Lbfb Yes, I applied to SF State, as well. Last year I applied to SMU bit unfortunately was placed on the waitlist and never got accepted. Good luck on the interview! I know they weigh heavily on the interview! Be prepared to do a sample essay at the end also. Good luck!
  14. Yes, it was my first time applying, as well. Were you able to attend any information sessions?
  15. @pixelizedalexis thanks so much! Best of luck to you! The waiting game begins!
