  1. @mighty_atom I was just wondering, when did you hear from York? I was unaware they were sending out acceptances already
  2. Mine is at 11am as well! I went to University of Windsor actually, excited to see a fellow Ontarian! Look forward to meeting the both of you as well! :)
  3. Hello everyone! I haven't posted in here yet, but I've been following the thread religiously. I received my invitation at around 1:40pm EST today. I am from Ontario, therefore out-of-state, and graduated with an honors degree in Biological Sciences with a fifth year. My cGPA is on the lower end of the spectrum in the 70s, but my last 30 credits equate to about a 84%. I have quite a bit of volunteer/shadowing experience and I also work in a health care environment within a pharmacy. I'm assuming my supplemental may have made up for my mediocre transcript. My interview is on April 11! I look forward to meeting to those of you who have it on the same day! My last name starts with a J* also, for those of you who want to know. For those of you who are still waiting, I'm wishing you all the best and don't give up! I know it's very nerve-wrecking, but good news comes to those who wait.
  4. Hello all! I haven't been able to find this topic in any of the forums I've browsed - please post a link if I am wrong and I will delete this (and I apologize!) I have actually applied to numerous fast-track/accelerated nursing programs in Canada, primarily in Ontario as well as UBC and UA. I notice that most Canadian accelerated nursing programs take your GPA for your most recent credits, in which I have approximately an ~3.4-3.5GPA (or A- = 83-84% Canadian percentile). However, my overall GPA is not very competitive - my question is, how much do they take cumulative GPA into consideration when reviewing applications? If anyone could post average GPAs, when they heard back from universities (ie: UT, Mac, York, Western), volunteer experience, extracurricular - ANYTHING, I would be truly grateful. Now that applications have been submitted, I'm in that horrible waiting stage.
