  1. Hey everyone! I also accepted a position there and will be starting on February 22! What unit will you guys be at? I can't wait to meet everyone!
  2. Did anyone hear anything yet?
  3. Good to know! Do you know when they are going to send emails?
  4. Awesome! Thanks everyone! What unit are all applying to?
  5. Do you have a previous undergrad? Are you sending those transcripts too?
  6. Me too! I have a question: so, for the transcripts, are you sending all your transcripts or just the one from nursing school?
  7. lgl525, I see the same thing. I didn't even know the application was open! Would you mind sharing here what you hear from them when you call? Did you guys hear from Georgetown at all?
  8. I wonder when they will start sending notifications...
  9. The applications will be open until mid-october, but depending on the amount of people applying, they may close the application sooner - it has happened in the past. Did you guys take the battery test yet?
  10. Hello everyone! I am starting a thread about the residency program at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. starting in February 2016. It will be nice to share ideas and keep each other posted on the status of the application.
  11. Hi Ifeoluwa, I am from another state...Would I still pay the same $13,550 or would I pay more?
  12. Oh, wow...a lot of people failed? That tells me a lot about the quality. How many people started the program and how mamy of them actually graduated? How are the online lectures? What about the clinical sites? Do they offer scholarship? What about financial aid? How long have you been looking for a job? I am just afraid that the fact that the lectures are online the hositals will be skeptical about hiring those nurses. What is the NCLEX passing rate?
  13. Oh, and my status online never changed; it still says my application was submitted!
  14. Hi iwnahelp! I did not have to take the TEAS because I already have a Bachelors degree. They seem to be very nice over there and the process is pretty qick compared to ther universities.
  15. Wow! That's really bad! Your diploma is given by Orbits or NEU? What does it say? Did you get a job after the program? Do they really offer scholarships?
  16. Edarcy1991: Do you live in Boston? I am not sure if it's you who lives out of state, but if you are planning to move, I think it would be a good idea to start looking now, because everyone around here moves in August/September and the competition for good and cheap apartments is pretty high.
  17. I received my acceptance package on Monday; however, I decided to go to Northeastern University instead. A spot will be opening soon. Good luck everyone!
  18. My status said that my application was submitted, and I called them several times with no luck reaching my advisor. When I finally reached her, she said she needed one of my transcripts and that was delaying the process for me. Now I am waiting to hear. I got into Northeastern University, but I would also consider going to Marymout. It's cheaper than NEU.
  19. I applied a couple of days before the deadline and it took a while for them to actually receive all my papers. I haven't heard from them about decisions yet. Did you guys receive a call or your online status changed?
  20. I am still working on the group description, photo, etc. I am making this an open group for now.
  21. Hi Everyone! I created a Facebook group for us. The privacy setting is closed, but if you guys want me to make it open, I certainly will. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/269320776562042/ Hopefully this will work. Let's start talking over there!
  22. Yeah, it's a lot of money, but I also faced the same problem edarcy1991 faced. I had three pre-reqs pending when I applied to Salem State, and they didn't even consider me!! And I dont want to refuse this opportunity, and wait until next year to apply to other schools, without even knowing if I will get in. I think I will stick to what I have for sure. Loans are a concern though. What do they have to offer? Kerris73: how was your interview at Salem State? Did you get accepted?
  23. When you speak to your advisor, would you let us know what you find? I am waiting to hear from other universities, but I don't think I will hear anything before the 31st - when I have to put down a deposit. I don't want to lose this opportunity, but at the same time I don't want to lose $400!! I still don't know what the deal is with the specialty tracks. It is unfair that we will have to work 2 years before starting the Master's portion, while the on campus progran you only need to work 6 months...Well, that's another reason why I only want to complete the BSN there.
  24. Eburgmeier: I am so happy for you! Congratulations! You live out of state, right? When are you moving? I find different numbers for tuition and I am unsure which one is correct. I am very concerned about the price of the program. Does anyone know anything? The Master's portion is 2 years I believe. However, you will have to work before you actually start the Master's. Depending on the specialty you pick, you will have to get 2 years of experience. I am thinking of applying to a Master's at a state university once I get my BSN. It's crazy expensive at Northeastern and I will have to get financial aid.
