Shut off at 116!??
ohsru... I know how you feel. The waiting game completely stinks. I took mine on Monday and today will be my 48 hours. I guess its the path all waiting RNs must take. Don't think you failed it. Everyone one does so your normal. I think I failed mine. Stay busy, go to work. I work as a tech in a icu and they had no hours for me, so I've been home pulling out hair. I had 90 questions I think. I also had the screen go off and freaked, but then it said breaK? what? no...go. When it came back on I was at question 77, two hours went by. At question 85 I took a moment then went back in and it shut down soon after that. So I think it is 90 questions. I don't remember my last questions. I had a mixture of everything and the only ones I remember are the one I thought were knowledge base because I kept thinking, these will not help me to pass I need prioritizing and others. THis whole exam sucks. Waiting sucks. I'm with you, but everyone has had to do it. Now its your turn. You can look at it this way. I have not seen many people not pass at a odd number (between 75 & 265) I'm know that some have, and hope I'm not one of them, but not many. THe computer wants you to pass, you have 265 questions to prove your competence. Good luck

NCLEX is anxiety
Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. I hate saying this, but I'm glad I'm not alone. I am still studying this morning, but only things I know I'm still a little weak on. Endocrine, babies, couple of drugs. I plan on vegging by this afternoon. I have not even touched my Kaplan disk of questions, but I'm only going to do 2 of them and not all 7 questions. Yes, I know this goes against what I said, but hey, this is our life right? I'll give everyone a heads up on what I see on the test. I've heard many things, but one consistent thing has been Endocrine and prioritizing. Hey if I get all prioritizing I know I"m good.

Good luck to you. I take mine at 2p. I am happy about that because a morning person I am not. Coffee time is required. I know all will go well for both you and I and I look forward to hearing "I passed" from both of us. This stress is ridiculous. Hope to hear from you soon. You'll do it!!!!! ps. I have to know. Where did the screen name come from. Love it.

Kaplan is frustrating me!
Hello everyone, I'm still new to allnurses. I just wanted to share with you that I finished the Kaplan course yesterday. I was suppose to take the NCLEX on Thursday, but a friend of mine who took it the week before said the kaplan book were the only questions similar to the NCLEX. So I freaked out, changed my date to Monday, and signed up for the Kaplan. I got a 59% on the Diagnostic and a 75% on the Readiness. I do believe the Kaplan questions are your top level questions. They prepare you to spank that test. No surprises, this is how hard it can be. Now, I have studied were I'm weak also in material. Saunders is good for that because you can do the study test which tell you right away if you were right or wrong and the rationale. Not to mention all questions Saunders has in that area. I've done about 3200 questions with all my studies. (kaplan/saunders). I do like saunders for weaknesses. For example endocrine. I suck at it. There is 163 questions on that. My word of advice for those of you taking the kaplan. Take the NCLEX soon after. You learn material while doing the questions and that stays in your head. I take my test Monday, I'm nervous but prepared. You cant study EVERYTHING.

NCLEX is anxiety
I am going to take the NCLEX RN on Monday. Anxiety is kicking in. I just don't understand why it has to be such a unknown. I've been hearing all kinds of information related to this exam and just don't know what to make of any of it. I've studied alot and have completed over 3,000 question, took the kaplan course and am still studying. Is this enough? :stone
