NCLEX Study Tips Requested Please
Hi I am testing February 5th. For last 3 weeks or so I have been watching the Hurst videos for content. I find them helpful and it is not too overwhelming because they cover the core content. I have the Saunders review book 5th edition which I have also been using to fill in the gaps when I have questions about the content. I also have ATI resources and have read the Kaplan strategies book. I feel that my weakest area is pharm by far. I plan on using the Kaplan tree to answer as many questions as I can the next two weeks and read some pharm everyday to get more familiar with meds. I find that the more information I read the more confused I get though. I.e. As far as diagnostic procedures and positioning, there are so many and everything just gut jumbled into one when I try to think of what to do in a specific situation. Also I am finding it difficult to remember certain fluids and electrolytes and how different meds effect these. Agghhhh I feel like I want to pull my hair out and am getting easily distracted because I have been studying for so long but still have two weeks to go! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and good luck to all who are testing!

Confused and Overwhelmed!! Please Help.. NCLEX-RN
Hi there. I am also studying for the big test. I test on the 5th and I am also feeling so overwhelmed! This is what I have been doing: someone burned the Hurst online videos for me so first I watched them for a content refresher. Anything that I felt I was week in I referred to the Saunders review book and skimmed over that (this book is easy to read and the chapters are short - great for brushing up on the basics). I also have the Kaplan review book. It was about $35. It is an easy read and this is what teaches you how to take the test. You can read that part of the book in only a couple of hours. So from here until I take the test I am gonna focus on my pharm and simpling answering as many practice questions as possible using the Kaplan tree. Hopefully it will work because I have a job depending on that I pass! Good luck to you!
