Hurst review and passing in massachusetts
zeifrancisco i did memorize the hurst review.. not everything just important things.. like cushings, addisons, SIADH, SI.. main ones that I knew seemed similiar.. the PDA book was the one piece of material that I used that I thought really helped me pass the exam. I thought the quesitons in this book seemed harder than the NCLEX-RN questions and was really confident through out the whole exam. Also, I was a real over achiever in college.. i mesmorized every slide for the exams because I wanted to know as much as I posisbly could to help me in my future nursing career. I feel like what I learned in school, the basic material in the Hurst Review, and the PDA book where big factors on why I passed my boards. Make sure you are confident when you go into the exam and DO NOT second guess yourself. Do not pick answers you are unsure of and go with your gut. You will do great!!

Hurst review and passing in massachusetts
hi zeifrancisco ! i passed my NCLEX-RN the first time February 10th in 75 questions. I loved the hurst review, i feel like it really helped me get my core material down. however, i would definitely advice you to do many questions and get the Priotiziting, delegation, and assignment book by LaCharity. I feel like this books questions where so much harder then the actual NCLEX-RN and I felt coompletely prepared. I did every question in this book it gives you different varieties of questions and breaks everythinng down in the back of the book :)

Words of encouragement please.. NCLEX-RN
Hi everyone, So I have been studying for the NCLEX RN for 2 months. The first month I reviewed all the HURST Review, and the second month I reviewed more content and have been doing questions for the last two+ weeks. I am overwhelmed and so done with studying right now, and my school did not get my paper work in correctly so it has delayed my process to get my ATT and taking this exam. At this point, I would not say I am burnt out but more just tired of studying and just want to take this exam already. I have anxiety here adn there just thinking when this exam is going to come and will I pass.. I know every nursing student (for the most part goes threw this same thing) and I would love some input on what I should do from here on out to keep myself focused before i take the NCLEX-RN... I do feel confident that I know a good deal of content and how to answer questions to be okay for this exam.. and I did pass my EXIT Heissi exam which gives me a little hope that I will be okay. At this point, I am just tired adn would love some input from anyone.. PLEASE.

Hurst review and passing in massachusetts
zeifrancisco I have no idea when I am taking my boards yet.. hopefully sooner then later. I am waiting on my ATT right now so that I can schedule my date. I really like the hurst review, I just hope it is enough to help me pass. At this point, I am so overwhelmed and tired of waiting to know when I am going to take this exam. I know I will never know all the content, but I hope by doing the hurst and review questions I will okay enough to pass. When do you take yours zeifrancisco?

RN at last !!
Congratulations nurselori77 ! You commented on my post the other day. Any advice for me when I head into the NCLEX within the upcoming month. I did the hurst review like you, and have just been reviewing the content there and doing questions. I have been getting 82-85/125 on the tests for the hurst review and as well I have been doing a lot of prioritization and delegation questions. It makes me feel a whole lot better that you passed seeing as I have done the same review as you have. As well, did you just review pharm. using the Hurst Review? Sorry for so many questions!

Confused and Overwhelmed!! Please Help.. NCLEX-RN
Another question I have is how did everyone go about studying for pharm. when studying for the boards. There is so much material to just pharm. in general. Did most of you just learn the endings, what the drug category does, and know some side effects?

Confused and Overwhelmed!! Please Help.. NCLEX-RN
thank you cam_ma.am. That makes me feel a lot better. I have been reviewing a good amount of content and from here on out am going to skim threw content see what other information I may have missed, but otherwise just focus on pharm. and questions. I am using the Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment book written by Linda A LaCharity, Saunders Review book for questions, and also I have Kaplan (I did not do the class but one of my close friends is going to teach my how to go about answering a question that I have no idea what it is about). I am hoping by using these three books it will really get me up there and able to answer questions correctly and accurately. I cannot wait for this to be over, like many of you this stress is killing me.

Confused and Overwhelmed!! Please Help.. NCLEX-RN
Thank you so much RN TX (David). This is just overwhelming like we all know and I know I just have to focus on questions and how I answer questions, but it's hard to decide when is enough.. I am still waiting for my ATT so hopefully it comes soon so I can have an idea how much longer I will study for and can make a plan. I have already been reviewing for over a month using the hurst review.

Confused and Overwhelmed!! Please Help.. NCLEX-RN
Hi everyone, so right now I am studying for my boards and am so overwhelmed .. Some people take Kaplan and say it's the only way they passé bc they teach you had to do questions and while taking the boards they had no idea about any of the content but as long as the did the Kaplan tree they were all set.. Others just did te Hurst Review and just reviewed content and still passed.. I don't understand how a person can pass and just know content or just know how to go about answering a question... I am determined to pass te first time and have even studying hard for this but at this point so many people go about it diff ways I don't know what I should do or where I should focus.. Any input would be great !! Thanksks

Hurst review and passing in massachusetts
ash.RN. so with the Hurst Review and the content that they provided you with.. Did you feel confident during the exam because the content they gave you was really similiar to what questions where being asked? I am just asking this because I took another review with my school and they gave so much content it was rediculous... the hurst review I have been doing, it has given me confidence, and as well helped me understand the body and nursing a lot better. But I am just afraid it could possibly not be enough for the boards seeing as this other review gave me so much content (it is overwhelming). I know I will not ever know all the content to take this exam, but I am just curious if the Hurst Review gave you enough skills, that when you where sitting in the exam everything somehow related or made sense. (sorry for such a long post)

NCLEX RN 2013 retakers
So I am doing the Hurst Review right now to get ready for my boards. Do you think it helped greatly when taking the boards? I am worried about not knowing enough content or diseases when going into the exam.. what did you think of the hurst review and the content it provided and then questions you saw on the exam?
