  1. I don't think you can fully understand Pharm until you take Patho. Sure you can memorize meds but you won't really understand how and why they work without Patho.
  2. I have this one and absolutely love it: http://www.amazon.com/Nursing-Diagnosis-Handbook-Evidence-Based-Planning/dp/0323085490 I also like the one the PP posted.
  3. Honestly, I wouldn't start anything. Don't read ahead because you don't know exactly what you're covering without your syllabus so you might be learning things you don't even need to know. I would just spend as much time relaxing and spending time with family and friends and getting everything done (eg. Dentist appts) before school starts. You won't have much free time when it does. If you really wanted to practice something I would start studying dosage calc.
  4. Micromedix is great. Even has free app for phone. But you would have to know what meds to look up.
  5. I have a Littman classic II. My school highly recommended it and I'm so glad I bought it. I love it and it wasn't too expensive.
  6. Here are some statistics towson posted on their website about nursing admissions: http://www.towson.edu/nursing/undergraduate/basic/admission/documents/AdmissionStatisticsTowsonandHagerstown.pdf I got an 86 on my teas and had a 3.6 gpa when I was admitted in the spring. I know the fall is more competitive though. A teas score around 80% is competitive and I think around a 3.6 gpa. Good luck!
