  1. I shed a tear reading this too!! I just put my four month old to bed...... I used to be a SICU nurse & decided it was not for me due to the high level of stress and emotions with family. One day I was taking care of a 78 year old male who was in a motor vehicle accident with multiple fractures. Patient was doing very well after being extubated and his daughter came to visit asking if he was medically and mentally stable enough to discuss arrangements for his wife because she died in the accident. I didn't know what to say, the daughter was crying because her dad was driving over to her house for dinner when a truck hit the car at an intersection.
  2. If you got the hospital position congrats!! Make no mention to HR or agency of it however I don't think it is a good idea to work with agency for the same hospital you are employed. If you continue to work with agency at other facilities you should be fine.
