  1. Hi everyone! My name is Kara -I'll be starting in the Fall as well!
  2. I received my letter that I have been waitlisted for Spring 2018! Hoping that a seat opens up
  3. I am applying!! Hoping that my clinical experience counts for something. (I've been a CNA for 5+ years: Peds ED @ Hopkins, Med/surg @ BWMC, PACU tech @ aamc and a medical assistant at patient first.) I'm not a very competitive applicant though. My TEAS was 70, GPA is 3.2 and science GPA is in the 2's I think. (B in AP 1, C in AP 2, C in Micro, C in Chem). But I'm hopeful I guess. I'm also applying to CCBC, AACC and NDMU. Good luck to everyone!
  4. No way, you're very helpful thank you! And thank you for your kindness! I'd love to talk separately, I really want to do this I just don't know the best pathway to go about it. :)
  5. Hello , I am 20 years old. I have had my CNA since May 2012 and I worked on an adult med/surg unit for 1 year as a tech and starting in November I started working at Hopkins in their PEDS ED. I am extremely interested and sold on being a Nurse in the USAF or the Navy. I will not be finished school with a BSN until Fall 2017 if I stay in civillian life and if everything I have mapped out goes according to plan. However, I do not want to wait 3 years to begin my military career. Has anyone had experience or does anyone have knowledge on going from a tech to an RN BSN in the military? I know that I can do it if I join the Reserves, and then after attaining a BSN I can switch to active duty but I would much rather be an active duty tech and be able to attain a BSN. I've done a lot of research, but I was looking for anyone who had experience in this or knowledge about it. I am going to talk to a recruiter but again, wanted any insight on anyone who has done this. Thank you so much for reading, and answering!
