  1. @rmariee,BSN,CNA may I know which unit you had an interview with? I assumed everyone got the second email to fill out the form but I did not get any email for a second interview.
  2. Hey guys!! I apologized as I did not check this page after I got accepted into the program. I graduated from the program last month. When I applied to RU, I applied for New Brunswick cohort since it is close to home. Unfortunately, they did not accept enough students and I was told that I can start in Newark or defer for another semester. I then decided that I am willing to drive to Newark to get this program over with. It is a good school and provide many opportunities for their students in terms of clinical location, volunteer, internship etc. They even upgraded the sim lab which is top notch & I love it. However, the program itself is very disorganized. I still recommend incoming students to consider RU because something about RU that increase your chance of getting a job interview (I did not have a hard time to get a job interview). Good luck to all of you!!
  3. Is anyone else getting an interview with OR and transplant unit manager?
  4. Asclepius86 I applied for the unit at Columbia. Do you know what the manager is seeking for in a nurse candidate for the unit? How do you like working at that unit?
  5. Does anyone know if NYP has their own transplant unit? I have an appointment at 9:20am for that unit and an OR interview at 11.
  6. I received an email from NYP this morning. Keep checking your email.
  7. @LIRN5783, ADN, BSN I am sorry to hear that. Best of luck to you too.
  8. @rmariee My account says the same too. It is med surg nights application. This is odd.
  9. LIRN5783, ADN, BSN- I applied and is still waiting to hear back. Hopefully those who get accepted will hear back by this week. I have multiple classmates who applied and 3 of them got rejected last Thursday. Finger crossed.
  10. jlc128, BSN, RN How did your interview went at the ED? I should be receiving an email from NYP by this week for the new grad program & I am dying to get into the ED.
  11. Hi rutgersstudent, The school will look at your overall GPA from your undergraduate degree & pre-reqs for the program. I am in the program right now, speaking from experience on behalf of my classmates, one of them got in with a GPA less than the requirement (GPA: 3.1) that they state on the website. Just do your best in all your classes!! Good luck!! Majority of us have 3.5 and above for our total GPA.
  12. Hi gilly00, Is there an email where I can communicate with you?
  13. Hi aseret, I am happy to answer your questions. Do you have an email address which I can contact you? I will answer all your questions through email.
  14. Not yet. They attached my acceptance letter with a list to do before I start the program. I was told by the admission lady that my orientation will be in August. I have not receive any other news. Please let me know how your orientation goes. Good luck!!
  15. Thank you and congrats on your acceptance too. I attended the open house and I have heard how tough it is. I just paid my tuition deposit and criminal background check. Do you know what will happen next? I am so clueless as to when the class starts, etc.
  16. Hi, did you get accepted into the BSN or ABSN program? I got accepted into New Brunswick ABSN program.
  17. Hey all, I just got accepted for Fall 2014 intake at New Brunswick and is wondering who else was accepted. I am looking forward to the craziness of this program.
  18. Out of curiosity, did any of you find out the average undergrad GPA for students who was accepted in the previous year? I attended an open house last year and she said that they will see your undergrad GPA and etc. NJCU is being so vague when they say they view all elements of the application.
  19. @#sarsoora8 Don't stress! You will do great! Good luck!
  20. You get your score immediately after finishing each section. Calculator is on screen and no you can't go back to a question.
  21. Lizziefl21 Hi Liz, So I called NursingCAS. BAD NEWS! They totally lost my transcript. They claimed it is no where to be found when the mailing address was correct. It is a smart idea to mail out a second copy of your transcript.
  22. Hi Lizziefl21, Don't worry about your transcript. I got really nasty with NursingCAS because my school mailed out my transcript on Janaury 9 and they didn't update it on my account. They insist it is still processing and it takes 7-10 days. Which I think is taking wayyy too long and it is beyond the time frame they told me. Once they get back to me, I will let you know how it goes. Even though NJCU assured some of the students that they understand if NursingCAS takes a while to verify some of the documents, keep in mind that students who completed all the documents and requirements will get review first(since all their paperwork is complete-common sense). Schools are being known for promising something that end up did not happen. I would say you mail out a second transcript as a back up plan.
  23. Hi @sarsoora8 Thank you! I hope we all get accepted. I have to admit that I am pretty nervous. I truly believe the Hesi result will determine if I make it to the program or not.
  24. Hi tinemarie, Don't worry... I just graduated too and I do not think you're crazy because it is better to get it done with.
  25. Thank you johndabaker for the heads up! I hope I will do well on the entrance exam. Well, I will find out this Thursday.
