  1. I just found out today I failed the NCLEX-RN for the 2nd time. I am so upset and I don't know if I can go through this again. I have a position in a fellowship that's being held until I pass but I feel awful. I used the hospital's 6 week mentor/study plan and was right on target with my scores and still didn't pass. Does anyone have any advice? I'm starting to feel like it just wasn't meant to be even though I've been dreaming of becoming a nurse for years! Thanks for any advice, Hopeless for the 2nd time
  2. I actually just accepted a position with St. John's and they just raised their base pay for RNs to $18.75/hr. They also pay 0.50 more if you have your BSN and I think they might be the only ones in St. Louis. They have really good benefits and great tuition reimbursement and loan repayment as well. I'd recommend it to anyone, the staff is great too! Also, I think the decision was just passed to have no union but I'm not positive.
  3. St. John's has a NICU fellowship they offer twice a year but it's small. I interviewed for it and they only took 5-6 people. SLCH and Glennon only have externship programs while your're a student nurse, which would be smart because then they'd probably hire you on after that. I'd also apply early before graduating because I applied and called 2 months before graduating in June and was told they'd already reached their new grad quota for the NICU at SLCH and Glennon. Hope this helps!
