  1. Hi Katie, I am RIBN too =) I friend requested you on FB and asked to join the group =)
  2. Highly recommend Van Cura for A&P I and II
  3. Hey Ryan! How is nursing school going? I got into both ADN and RIBN but chose to take RIBN spot. Hope your first year is going well! What is your schedule like?
  4. Hey Ryan! Yes I applied to RIBN and understand the differences between the two programs. I just wondered what other students thought. I had not realized the RIBN program was the same nursing curriculum, etc as ADN. I have A&P 1&2 left for pre-req's so if I don't manage to get in at least one this summer, fall semester will be tough. RIBN is the program I prefer bc nursing classes will start about the same time by daughter starts kindergarten. I wasn't prepared to be accepted into ADN honestly but I'm glad I did. Hopefully I get into RIBN though. There were only 22 applicants this year and I scored on the higher end if the score range from last year so we shall see!
  5. Hey Ryan, Question for you...if you were accepted into both RIBN and ADN which would you have taken? I was accepted into ADN but am awaiting news on RIBN. I scored in the 92nd % overall (score divided by 700) but I don't know if I will get in. I sort of think RIBN would be better for me because of child care--but I don't know. Thoughts?
  6. Hey johnny, did you get in?
  7. Received letter to come in for point count today. Point count runs next week Mon-Fri from 9-5:45 I believe, I don't have the letter in front of me.
  8. Seems everyone I know is in that boat; high scores in all but one haha. Spelling was my highest and nonverbal was my lowest.
  9. I received my score 2 days after the test; I am applying to both RIBN and ADN. I also feel I did well. Most people seem to be doing very well on the PSB this time around scoring in the 90s in all but one area. I think it will be close. I really want RIBN though.
  10. Well yes maybe the competition. I am hoping to get into the RIBN program though. That is my first choice though I would take either. Either way, I wish you luck also! The book Gerri recommended was really not specifically for the PSB which I didn't know. I was FREAKING out the morning of my test until my friend reminded me that the book was not specific to PSB. Keep that in mind, know your basics and I bet you'll do great!
  11. Hi dt70, the PSB wasn't terrible at all very basic. I used the book that Ms. Gerri recommended (she is a PSB resource in the Learning Lab on campus). I didn't really study much though because that book went WAY above the scope of the PSB. Anyways, thank you for the encouragement! Where are you on your nursing journey?
  12. I was the first one to apply to my program and took the PSB test, scored really well and now I get to wait until April…yay. I am keeping busy with my Spring classes and my hubby and kids but if I think about it I get very anxious. Nothing to do but wait so I am going to work my butt off in my microbiology class until then.
  13. Hi Lossea, have you applied yet? I put in my application and took my PSB and it's going to be a looong wait until April.
