  1. See told ya. God's Got This! I will toast in your honor...Now get back to business!!! Lol Best Wishes
  2. I agree with Lindsey. I live in Baton Rouge,LA which is flooded with RN's so LPN's are mainly utilized for LTC, Home Health, VA etc. It really does depend where you live. One of my classmates from my PN program moved to Houston, TX & works in an Urgent Care clinic with very decent pay versus being here where LTC is not your only option, but your best bet. I wish you luck great luck & abundant blessings on your future.
  3. Congrats to everyone on this post that has graduated recently, or will be graduating soon. Always remember that you earned your license...not given! Stay positive throughout your job search no matter what challenges you may encounter (My biggest challenge after graduating) Also, don't feel ashamed if your are only getting call backs from LTC facilities. I always pictured myself in a big nice facility coming out if school, but this simply does not happen...unless you have ppl in high places. Stay humble, continue to advance, do what you must for you & your family, & never forget that no matter where you are employed, everyone is still in need of your presence as a nurse. Good luck to all & God Bless. Congrats again! Well done
  4. Hi everyone & Happy Holidays! I am currently an LPN in Baton Rouge, LA; currently on the road to obtaining my ASN. Being the anxious & over-excitingly person I am, my goal is to someday become an Emergency Nurse. I have such a major level of respect for anyone who works on ER/ICU etc etc due to a past personal experience , which influenced me to pursue nursing. What skills, advice, or pertinent info should I familiarize myself with in advance before applying down the road ? Thanks in advance to everyone who gives me their input!
  5. Good luck bro. I start in January 2014. I will transferring my a&p courses credits in, but I will keep you in mind along the way through my other courses.
  6. Congrats! I can't imagine how blessed it is to get through so much adversity, while trying to accomplish such a goal. Good luck!
