  1. It's official. I am a RN. I just found out I passed NCLEX. Praise GOD.
  2. I took the NCLEX-RN today. I got about 5 calculations, 5 meds, about 10 SATA, and a lot of priority questions, and 1 delegation. My test stopped at 75 questions. There were quite a few questions that I had to guess on the answer. I just pray that I pass.
  3. They mainly look at your ACT and NET (Nursing Entrance Test) scores. If you do well on the NET, you shouldn't have a problem getting accepted. I would recommend that you go ahead and take A&P I and II and Microbiology. You can wait on taking your other non-nursing courses. All of the nursing classes are on Mon and Wed except for Med Surg I (classes are Mon, Wed, and Fri.)
  4. I don't know if Northwest will accept her, but the lowest passing grade for Northwest is a 78.
  5. I will be starting in the RN program this fall. I have decided to wait until the first day of class before I buy anything except my textbooks. When I do decide to buy a stethoscope, I think I am going to buy a Littman Classic II SE.
  6. I'm not taking any classes this summer. I am in the same situation as you for as the hours plus I need the rest.
  7. Both A&P classes have been fairly easy. It's probably good that your are getting Micro out of the way. I have been told that a lot of nursing students fail the 3rd semester because of Micro.
  8. I attend the Desoto Campus also. I am taking A P II this semester. I am going to the Red Cross in Memphis on tomorrow for CPR certification.
  9. No, I haven't heard anything different. Another student in the program told me not to buy anything because she over heard Mrs. Scott telling another student to wait before she buy any uniforms because they might change them.
  10. I am very excited. I am in the 10 am class. Where are you going to buy your uniforms from?
  11. I was accepted to NWCC Fall 2006 class. Hope to see you around.
  12. How did you do on the NET? I am waiting to get my scores in another week or so.
  13. Do you think a 24 on the ACT is competitive enough for Northwest Nursing porgram, or do you think I should retake the ACT?
  14. I think Southwest Community College in Memphis has a night and weekend program. You probably should give them a call.
  15. I am applying to a nursing program for the fall semester that looks only at ACT and NET scores. I made a 24 on the ACT and a 92 overall (100-Math and 84-Reading) on the NET. There are 70 spots available. There were about 250 applicants last semester. I am considering retaking the NET and ACT. What do you guys think are my chances of getting into the program?
  16. Do you know when they will be completely finish with taking the 50 people from the waiting list? When I took the NET this past May, I remember the lady from NWCC saying something about the waiting list but I don't remember exactly what she said. I do remember her saying something about 30 people. I thought I heard somebody say that this fall semester would be the last semester for taking people from the wait list but I am not for sure. Do you know how many admission points that you get for scores on the ACT and NET?
  17. Did the person say why it would be next year before you will be able to get into the program? Which semester did you apply for? I applied for the spring semester. Do you know if it's difficult to get in the program or how may people apply to the program each semester? What have you heard about the program?
  18. Has anyone applied for or attends Northwest in Senatobia?
  19. What is considered a good score on the NET?
