Hello all! i just thought I would start a thread for all of those who have applied for the LVN to ADN program starting this January. This is first time and I am waiting to here back for my interview time and date. Have any of you applied before? Does anyone know how many people have applied? Good luck to you all!!

I wonder if despite us being told late,if we are selected to send in supporting documentation that they would extend the time period that we have to produce that information.

Correct. I have done all of that and it still isn’t updated. Perhaps that’s a good sign to those who have updated dates??

No she didn't mention anything about receiving emails. I recieved two of them so far one just this week.

Hi all I applied this year for the upcoming cohort in 2019. Does anyone know when in October they will contact us?

My experience so far with Gurnick the Modesto campus,I am not yet in the program but I will be signing on the dotted line on Monday. My Gurnick Journey started last year. I took their entrance exam and passed but due to the day classes being full I was told that next year I will be chosen first for the daytime program. Fast forward to this year I called earlier this year to verify that my name was still on the list as first pick I was then told at that time that candidates were chosen by test scores. Fast forward to July I called again to make sure my name was still in the running and I was told that I was selected and to come to the campus to speak with the admission specialist. So after reading all of the threads and reviews I'm not surprised by the inconsistency. Met with the specialist which was informative I was asked to send for my official transcripts for credit granting and was told after that is complete and turned in that I would then meet with the Financial Aid counselor. Week after hand delivering my transcripts hadn't heard from the school. I called the school and they had no record of me if coming in to meet with Admission specialist. I explained that I have an email proving that I spoke with her in person and via email and surprisingly she found that I did meet with her. Again not surprised. I was then told to come this coming Monday to meet with the specialist along with $75 to start the admission process. So the purpose of this is basically to inform all that are considering Gurnick that though they can be disorganized and unprofessional at times sometimes you have to ignore certain things and keep your eyes on the bigger prize! I have tried getting into the RN program for 8years with no luck and this the only way for me in my situation to finally make all of my dreams come true. Stay on top of Gurnick,try and have most of your conversations via email to hold them accountable to the information they give you and stay focused on your goal!

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone is attending Gurnick Academy in Modesto,this fall in October. Also,are there any alumni around that have any tips for us newcomers?
