I was wondering if I could use the older version of Porth's Essentials of Pathophysiology book??? The current version is the 3rd edition, I was wondering if the 2nd edition was all that different?

I was wondering if anyone had their parking passes for sale from the N12 cohort, and possibly a red bag as well? I missed all the opportunities to get either one of these I wasn't feeling well and was just able to get texts/emails sent out for everything.

I got the RWJF Scholarship, and my loan amount that i accepted, completed entrance counseling for, and signed a master promissory note for was reduced?!

Is it normal to accept, complete entrance counseling, sign a master promissory note for a certain loan amount and then have that loan amount changed/reduced because you were later allotted a scholarship?! I don't understand!

At least along the books, tuition, insurance, and miscellaneous? For some reason, the way that we enter into the program, it is as if we were undergraduate freshman (at least according to the loan amounts).

...as of right now I will not be getting an interview with Baptist. I truly was planning on getting funding from them and was super stoked because I had already planned on staying in Winston after graduation. Hoping for the RWJF scholarship now! That will be my saving grace!!!

I'm just wondering if anyone can give an insight on how much everything costs: tuition, books, supplies, scrubs, insurance, fees, etc.?

Hey guys, I have read over several posts but as the years go by so do the improvements on different supplies. So with that said, I would like to get an honest opinion on what kind of stethoscope is best, as well as what kind of shoes (ie: comfort, durability, etc.) In addition does anyone know of great sites/stores that offer discounted rates to students?

Thank you dontdoit for everything! :) They have already made calls today for interviews, I called up to Baptist and was told they selected 20 people for interviews and that it could take up until early next week to make all of those calls. Keeping faith, being patient. :) All I know is that I have gotten this far, I just need the funds in order to attend. What is the Forgivable Education Loans for Service??? Is that if you enter into the military after school???

So what color were your scrubs for clinical settings? When did you get your list for books? What did people do who didn't get the Baptist or the RWJF scholarship???? Were they able to find enough financial aid??

From what I am hearing, Baptist will pay for tuition/books/etc. but will not provide the stipend each month. Also I have heard that only 17 students will be selected for that funding. Some people got an email from baptist today, I did not receive anything from them yet. And I cannot figure out if the entire list of accepted students will be submitted for review for that funding, or if DON will select 17.

Does anyone know when we will hear from Baptist? Or rather if??? Also, I was made aware if you are having trouble getting TB skin tests, try MinuteClinic at CVS and/or other pharmacies. :)

I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that 2, yes TWO TB tests have to be completed by November 15th. If you cannot get them done, you can always do the Quantiferon Test which is done by taking blood and you have to make sure the place you get it done has the kits available and are able to get it processed within the time it is supposed to be done. Does anyone know about getting flu shots????
