  1. Kclpc I sent you a private message with the info needed to take it. If that doesn't work let me know and I will email it to you!
  2. Penn valley lpn in KCMO. I start jan 13!!!
  3. Sorry I got sick I meant to sent you the website if you still need it let me know. Yeah I even had financial aid email them and still nothing. I figure when I go to my cne check in on December 2 and ask them to change it.
  4. I can as soon as I get home this evening from work I will message it to you :)
  5. I start penn valley community college in Kansas City January 2014. Excited to get everything going!
  6. So now I'm just waiting on my degree plan to be changed. Hoping to get everything taken care of this week. Definitely have learned in this process you have to stay on top of things!!
  7. Oh that's crazy. I was told by financial aid to just sign up for the payment plan which would secure my classes and that my financial aid should be in before my first payment is due. That's crazy that youll be dropped by Sunday if you don't pay. Too much uncertainty for my liking
  8. Financial aid told me that they won't start working on them till next week or so. I just know that they have to have your application for aid in by nov 30 to avoid having to make a payment on dec 15. I only get loans since I already have a bachelors degree. The lpn administrative assistant emailed me and said she was changing my degree plan so I assume if she runs into any issues with it she would let me know. Also sorry about the names. Wasn't on purpose and won't happen again.
  9. my degree progress report says that too but ------ told me she was changing my plan of study and I trust her. If I run into any issues I know that she will take care of it and she would of also emailed me back if she had any problems. Thats how I knew in the first place there was an issue bc she was unable to initially change it.
  10. im not sure where I find where they changed my degree plan at? I just met with advising and they told me they took care of things. Since I am in the LPN program, I have been emailing with ----------and she is the one who told me she changed my degree program. So i'm sure ------- or whoever is on the professional nursing side who enrolled you or told you what classes to enroll in is who would be the person to talk to about changing your plan of study.
  11. I am paying with financial aid. I had to have advising change my graduation date and then the nursing program changed my plan of study for me. In regards to financial aid you have till nov 30 to get everything completed with them so that you can avoid that first payment on dec 15. Yeah they out everyone in an AA degree until your in the nursing program. You have to have the nursing department change your plan of study.
  12. Hey guys I got my classes today woo! Persistence definitely pays off.
  13. I went to NAU for one year doing pre-reqs for the BSN program, I had everything done was going to apply and then realized it was going to cost me almost 50 grand and said no thanks! If you have nothing its 68 grand which is ridiculous! they charge almost $400 a credit hour and penn valley is 92 a credit hour. One year at NAU cost me $15,000 so needless to say lesson learned and employers do value Penn Valley higher bc its been around longer and those for profit schools are looked as a very highly regarded
  14. sadly my CNE check in date isnt until December 2, us LPN folks have later start dates on everything which is a bummer! I just want to start getting what I need to so the financial burden is so rough all at once if I can spread it over the next few pay checks that would be awesome!
  15. Thanks for all of your help guys! LPN orientation isnt until December 19th. Ive been emailing with ----- and I thought she was going to enroll me today but as of yet Im not so I figure I might as well go meet with financial aid anyways just to have an idea. I just want to get everything completed so I have time to purchase books at decent prices and such. I dont have an abundance of cash just sitting around to just drop at the last minute. I already have a degree so mine is all loans which is a bummer. Currently trying to get a grant to help pay for it and my job offers tuition reimbursement but thats after the semester. I do have a flexible job and will be working weekends only so thats taken care of. Just want to know how much money to save to pay for things until my loans come thru but cant apply for them until they enroll me in classes. Its a catch 22 i tell ya! I only have to take the 9 nursing courses bc Ive taken all of the pre-reqs and all of my classes have transferred over even for the RN program.
