  1. Hi thanks for such a quick reply. The program I am in is a 1yr program. Once you graduate you are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN. To be honest I am so confused in your answer. Can you please explain it a bit more simpler?
  2. Hello, I am currently in nursing school expecting to graduate in a few months. Can somebody please list the nursing career ladder steps? For instance, as I graduate and take the NCLEX if I choose to further my education what would be my next step to start looking at?
  3. Aww, I am sorry. Like someone posted above, go over your weak area(s) and try again. You have come to far in your dream to give up. Good luck to you.
  4. Aww, I'm sorry. Please don't give up. Agreeing with a post above, go over your weak area (s) and try again. Good luck to you.
  5. I'm thinking since this is my first time through the ATI Study Guide everything just seems too hard, Hopefully when I finish reading through the Study Guide and start reading it over again reading paragraph by paragraph things will start to appear less complicated. Even if I end up reading the entire book 5 times cover to cover something has got to stick. Thankfully I have time before the test and if this is what needs to be done then so be it. Yesterday I actually had a bit of doubt on myself but today I got up, started reading and I feel differently. I want to do this. I want to become a Nurse.
  6. I spent most of today reading through Science in my ATI Study Guide with periodic breaks to give my brain a rest. It seems so hard. Today was the first time I actually had a doubt I can do this.
  7. My Teas V Test is not until March. I have been reading through my ATI Study Manuel but decided its time to "buckle down" and really start learning what I am reading. It doesn't seem to be sinking in as I read paragraph for paragraph. What I did was at each set of practice problems I wrote the answers thinking this would be easier to learn what I'm reading rather than try and answer each question, probably answer wrong or have no idea what the answer is and have to scroll back to find the right answer thus just getting everything mixed up. My question is if I concentrate on the questions/answers on the practice problems where I have the correct answers written will this be enough to help me learn what I need to know wen I take the test? I hope I'm understood what I'm trying to type out here, I am starting to get nervous that its not sinking in and I'm afraid of what my test results will end up being.
  8. You know, your right, I do have the actual ATI Study Guide and never thought of having to scroll back to the answers. Thanks for pointing that out.
  9. I am wondering if the ATI Study Guide is available for the Kindle to be downloaded. This would be so convenient rather than carrying around the actual Study Guide (book). I looked on the internet and have an email in to ATI.com but not having any luck.
  10. My question is once you take the TEAS test how long is it good for? For example, if you take the test in March 2014 must you start schooling that same year?

Hi I just joined this site literally 5 minutes ago. I am considering a career in nursing, again newbie could be my name. I graduated High School in 1979 so if you do your math you'll find I'm not a recent High School Graduate. Since I am at the very beginning stage I am looking for info on the Pre Entrance Exam for LPN. I'm told its a Teas 5 exam so any help would be great. Where can I get info on what to study for the test? The reason I ask is I don't want to drive myself crazy going over subjects that will have nothing to do with the test. I sure Hope someone can help me with getting started. Thanks
