wow, that seems really high. Are you field only? Even then that seems high. I have been in HH 2 1/2 years and my average day is 2-OASIS and 2-SN/SUP visits. If I have more than that there is no time left to case manage (follow up phone calls, equipment, f/u orders etc.).
In Texas I have 8 years Nursing home and doctor office experience, 2 years experience HH at $60,000/yr. Per visit nurses are $75/SOC $65/RCT,DC,ROC $35/SN or SUP visit. $.42/mile or can use company car with paid gas, insurance, maintenance. 3 weeks paid vacation. No other benefits. Hope this helps.
When I interview applicants I try to look through the eyes of the patient. Does the person appear professional and approachable? If an applicant fits the position they are applying for; are they willing to change an aspect that may appear unapproachable or unprofessional such as a large sleeve tattoo, multiple facial piercings, their clothing, colored hair or bright makeup? Just consider that if the applicant seems to be "the one" appearance issues may can be resolved.
