  1. Finally received my orders today.....getting excited. Just wanted to give everyone some advice, I work in a military clinic currently and I have the advantage of talking with service members that have attended COT recently and being a spouse for 13 years with an active duty husband. They definitely recommend that you get uniforms and boots prior to going to COT. They also state that the worst part of COT is the sleep deprivation and getting up super early to do PT so if you usually work out in the evenings I would start trying to get up early and work out. Trust me it is so different running 5 miles at 0400 than at 1700. Some other suggestions about TMO is to make sure you look at your items closely when packing and unpacking because if things are damaged you can claim it and get it fixed. We live overseas right now so if you are PCSing overseas and have family members please contact your recruiter or COT about the family member relocation clearance. ALL family members that are traveling overseas must be command sponsored and medically cleared. This process can take awhile so try and get a start on it. Your family members also have to have No Fee passports.....the recruiters may have talked to you about it but I just wanted to point out some of those very important things that need to be done. Can't wait to see everyone and safe travels to all.
  2. I can sympathize with you about the rank issue....I swore in as a Captain and now I will have to be a 1st LT for about 10.5 months. That was extremely frustrating, but it is what it is. With all the cut backs that are going on right now who knows what is next. I have not gotten my orders either but with all those changes they had to make to the commission documents they just submitted them again a week ago.
  3. I will be joining you all in March....i will be coming from Guam and going to Columbus Mississippi. Dies anyone know what the acceptance percentage was.
  4. jfratian How did you get the letter, mail or email or recruiter? Thank you
  5. Other than hearing from the recruiter has anyone gotten anything official or seen an official listing?
  6. Did you apply for joint spouse? Your husband functional and your functional will have to talk about getting you together. It is not 100% but they try they have to put you and him where the Air Force needs you.
  7. Thank you.....so happy that I have gotten on this site. I am getting more information from you all than my recruiter......
  8. I talked with my recruiter this morning and he did not know my COT date or assignment. My husband is active duty so I am not sure if the joint spouse will delay things a little. Does anyone else know their COT date and assignment?
  9. I found out yesterday from the recruiter I was selected. Thankfully he checks his messages in the weekend. I almost do not believe it I want to see it on paper. I have been working as a contract nurse for the Air Force for almost 2 years and so excited to come in active duty. I do not have a COT date or details from my recruiter yet but hopefully tomorrow when the holiday is over.
  10. Hello everyone.....I also applied on this board and have been following all your posts. I have not heard the results yet.....through others experience do the ones that got selected find out before the ones that did not? So is this no news mean bad news?
