I believe that since there was an issue at the testing center, they have to check the tests manually which is why there's a hold and they make take longer to grade. If you cut off at 75 qs I think you have a really good chance of passing :) just be patient! :)

It might not be possible...but if you interview and get rejected again maybe ask if someone will tell you why and what you can improve

I don't know what to say. It sounds like your doing everything right! I know that's not really helpful to you. Possibly as far as your weakness, maybe give an example about how you worked to improve and an example of that (for instance I said my weakness was that I had a little bit of trouble with time management, but by my last shift of my senior practicum I managed to deliver q1h meds to a pt on time). You could try changing things up by dressing differently. Maybe a dress (I assume you're a girl)? I wore a dress to my interviews, was possibly a little overdressed but an instructor told me it was better to be overdressed than underdressed. As silly as it sounds, I didn't wear lipstick ro one of my interviews, and that was the one interview I didn't get an offer from. Do you have your license yet? If you don't you may be passed over for someone who already does. Hope I could help a little. Looking for a job as a new grad is stressful and I feel for you. Best of luck!

What kind of answers are they asking in the interview? What are you answering? What are you wearing to the interview? Are you a new grad?

I felt exactly the same way!! I wasn't sure about a single answers. And I passed! I'm sure you did too. Don't worry:)

Sounds like your doing great as far as your scores, I'm sure you'll pass! Just relax and pray pray pray!! When you're taking the test remember to breath and don't freak yourself out. When I took it, every 20 questions I took I paused and took 3 deep breaths and closed my eyes for 10 seconds. At 50 questions I took about 15 seconds to stretch a little (in my chair) and rest my eyes again. Take a break if you need to and go out of the room, get food, go to the bathrooms, whatever you feel you need to keep your nerves down. You're gonna do great!

Don't let your scores freak you out too much. A few days before I took my NCLEX I scored a 36% on a set of 30 questions from the Kaplan q bank (no, not the all SATA practice test...). I was devastated. But it was just a fluke. I passed in 75 qs and you will too! Just keep studying

I think you're doing well and you'll probably pass, and also you still have 10 days which is still a lot of time to study! Just keep studying and the day before you take the test take the day off and relax :)

Forgot my other pro for TGH--job starts 2 weeks later than bayfront and I'd really love to have the extra time to relax now that I've finally passed my nclex

Hello! So I have a dilemma (albeit a good one). I am a new grad with 2 job offers. My first offer came from Tampa General in their Acute care rotation program. Pros: although I won't be working there right away, they do have Peds which I eventually want to work in, Magnet status, nice hospital in nice area, people I met seemed nice, generally felt good about it, good reputation. Cons: long commute over the bay, no one I know works there, less pay My other offer came from Bayfront in the acute care track nurse residency. Pros: friend has job there, shorter commute, pays more. Cons: no pediatrics, not magnet status, I haven't seen much of the hospital it it didn't seem quite as nice as TGH, not sure about reputation as I've heard mixed reviews. Help please!! :/

Is it ever ok to reapply to a position? About a month ago I applied to a position...the application was rejected right away...no interview. A month later, the job posting is still there. Is it OK to reapply?

Unless you're waking up at 4 am for clinicals, studying for 3 tests in the same week, spending hours in lab and having a nervous breakdown, you're not a nursing student.

Here's a question:what about if someone asks "what's your major?" Back when I was taking my prequesites I would sometimes just answer "nursing" because I knew when I graduated I would have a bachelor's in nursing. I never called my self a "nursing student" at that time though. Eventually I figured out it was clearer to say that I was pre-nursing...

Hello! I'm about to graduate nursing school and am expecting to start working the beginning of august. My slight dilemma is that my cousin is getting married out of state august 28th...so I will have been working less that a month. I know that I can't get vacation time that soon, but would I be able to schedule my work days so that I have enough days off? I would only need 3 or 4 days off. At what point should I bring this up to my employer?? Thank you!
