I know, I'm trying not to think about it either but I'm getting excited! Last year I think they sent out e-mails to those who got in that Thursday or Friday and then mailed acceptance packages.

WSSU ABSN 2015 Applicants - Open Thread!
Yes, October is finally here! Hopefully we will find something out next week. I haven't heard whether there was going to be funding or not for 2015 but I'm pretty sure last year several of them did. Fingers crossed that they do. Good luck everyone! TuesdayMorning--I'm pretty sure the traditional program is set up mostly for people who are working on their first Bachelor's degree as opposed to the Accelerated program where you are required to already have a bachelor's degree. The students in the Accelerated program have already taken the classes (English, humanities, etc.) when they got their first degree so that's why the Accelerated program is faster.

RobinMarie I know you! We used to work together! Very small world! :) I am going to wait to do the WSSU admission application until I hear back from the division of nursing. I'm trying to save that $50 just in case! I took the ACT because my SAT scores weren't that great and did really well on that. My English score was above the minimum so hopefully that works to my advantage. I've heard there were over 300 applicants, so that makes me stressed out too. I just don't want to get rejected again, especially since I now have all of my pre-reqs done! We're all in this together though, patience is a virtue :)

I have not applied anywhere else because I live in High Point and WSSU is the closest and most reasonable in cost. Every school also has different pre-requisites so I thought I'd just stick to the one school I know I could afford/be closest to. UNC definitely has a great program--sounds like that one would be ideal for you! When do you find out about UNC? I know for the WSSU program we will find out probably mid-October.

Hi MarleneNC and Wolfpacknurse! Marlene--Good luck in the traditional program, I'm sure you will do great! I graduated from UNC in 2011 and have decided to go back to school for nursing. My cumulative undergrad GPA was a 3.7 and a 3.5 in my pre-requisites. I got rejected from the ABSN program last year because I was still taking my developmental psychology pre-req, so keeping my fingers crossed this year!! :)

Hi Robin Marie! I just sent in my application too for the 2015 ABSN program. I've heard it's very competitive but hopefully we will get in since we have our pre-reqs finished and have decent GPAs.. but the wait will kill me too! Where are you from?

WSSU ABSN 2014
I finally received an e-mail on Tueday saying that I was not accepted to the program due to me still taking Developmental Psychology. Oh well, more time to save money I guess! Congrats to all that got in and good luck! Keep me posted throughout your year :)

However, congratulations to everyone who got in. I know you are probably excited to start something new! I just wish I could get some answers.. I know if I didn't get in it's probably because of the pre-req I'm still taking..however, I have a BA from UNC-Chapel Hill and graduated with a GPA of 3.5..but I guess that doesn't even make a difference from what I've heard.. just wish I could get some sort of notification!!

I've checked all folders, even my spam. Even If I didn't get in, I would still like to know. They are about 2 weeks later than they have been in previous years. I've got so many decisions to make and really need to know ASAP. It's just extremely frustrating, especially when you continue to get the run around.
