  1. I was accepted into the program and passed Fundamentals. Next came Nursing Agency 1. I got 100% in my clinicals, did every assignment, even got a C on the final. I failed by a few questions because of not doing so well on 1 quiz and fluid and electrolyte test. Failed by a few questions! Waited all year now back again! I just took my 1st quiz over preop and got a 83.3 there were 30 questions. I got 25/30 obviously. I feel as if I have to be doing something wrong in studying. I got the lowest B possible! What am I doing wrong? I feel like I can't critical think? I'm not sure how to think as I study? I feel overwhelmed and as if its to much to remember? I truly know I can do this with the right changes. Advice please.
  2. "Wow I sat in the waiting area for half an hour, and paid $30.00 to see the doctor. He was only here for 5 minutes and did't even take the time to let me ask questions! How rude, sorry to take it out on you but that's crazy and this is why I hate coming to the doctor. What a waste of my money." (Obviously patient doesn't realize doctor is behind him.)
  3. Okay so of course the first words out of my mouth are going to be " I have no nursing experience and would like to ask hundreds of questions." To begin my impression of school so far is that yes we of course are going to not have any idea about the nursing process or how to just write up a care plan really quick. I can read information and remember it but, if a student has never been a nurse how is it that on our exams for nursing school all of the questions that they ask us are about nursing issues and experiences? I get it critical thinking. So my question is this, how do I learn pharmacology the book is tedious with way to many details and I have 3 ch. to cover asap. Its cray if I tried to remember all of this info. If I did remember it all then the questions they ask on my test would have nothing to do with what I learned it will be a scenario question. Please ideas on what I need to do?
  4. My question is: How is it possible to be successful in Pharmacology? This is my first semester in nursing school and I feel lost like I am learning another language. I never miss class, I take notes, I feel like there is no particular good way to know what to even study for our tests because all of the questions are scenarios of real life situations that I have never experienced and have not even learned how to approach the answer to questions asked based on lack of experience.
