  1. It is a difficult program but just stay focused & study frequently you will be fine. I haven't heard of any changes. Inbox me your number if you have any questions. I'll be glad to help

  3. Congratulations shayk16! This really is an awesome feeling. Today was my first day at work as a new grad
  4. Congrats on entering the program. I just graduated from MTC in May 2014.
  5. Nclex study guide written by three nurses. Sorry for the late reply
  6. Well of course it takes more than just claiming it. I understand you are upset that's to be expected but how you handle things next will determine how bad you want it. Your not the first or the last person to not reach your goal when you wanted it to happen. So cry, scream, fuss, whatever is necessary for you to get it out & try again if you really want it. I have four kids & single (had my first at 16) The odds were against me. I went to school off & on for 10 years! I'm now 31. It wasn't easy but so worth it! Stay encouraged!
  7. ganurse...I'm not sure on how to send the link but I just googled it
  8. Don't give up! Sometimes in life we have set backs but that doesn't mean success isn't possible. I'm a new grad & recently took my NCLEX. I did pass on the first time but in nursing school I failed my next to my last semester by less than 2 points! I was devastated! I didn't want to face my family or friends. I especially didn't want to tell my kids that I failed & wouldn't be graduating with my summer class of 2013. I felt like i put a Iot of effort in to pass. I took the course again in the fall of 2013 with the same instructor who failed me. I went in with a positive mind (by then I was out of my feelings) & passed with a B. I see your screen name is 4mykids, so let them keep motivating you. If nursing was easy everyone would be one. Shake it off & try again. You have made it close to the finish line by finishing nursing school. Congrats on that! Now reevaluate your plan to pass & claim it's already done!
  9. Thanks NightCrow!
  10. Hi. I did the Kaplan review before took my test yesterday. Try to focus on the rationales of each question. I scored twice in the 50s on the question trainers and 60 and above on the rest. Keep on quizzing yourself. I didn't really use the decision tree because it was confusing. I find choosing the assessment over intervention worked in most cases unless it was an emergency or the patient has been assessed in the question. The 35 page study guide on this site was helpful. By the way the computer cut off after my 75th question & I did the pvt & got the "good pop up." Waiting on my official results. Good luck
  11. Hello ganurse! Thanks! My school offered a Kaplan review course after graduation. I did all the question trainers, 50% of the q bank, & 3 of the sample test making sure I focused on all the rationales. I studied for 4 weeks before the test doing about 50-100 questions/day unless the question trainer was longer. The 35 page study guide & yhe one written by 3 nurses on this website were very helpful. Try to relax the day before the test & always remain confident. You well do fine.
  12. I live in Columbia, SC and graduated from MTC in May. I took my Nclex for my RN yesterday. It shut down after 75 questions. I did the Pearson trick and received the "good pop up." Now I'm anxiously awaiting for my official results. After 2 years of nursing school, it seems so unreal to have completed the final test! Congrats to all the new grads and new nurses! I'll undate this status after I get my results. Any other MTC students or graduates here?
