Chemistry is a pre req for the BSN program - you can apply for the nursing program only during the month of May time from and all pre reqs must be completed before you apply. FSCJ says you dont have to have them all completed before starting the program but you must have them completed before you finish, so you have some options. Without all the pre reqs done they wont even consider your application for the fall, so you may want to think about trying for the spring..I hope orientation goes well!

Poo - my previous comment didnt post I did my fingerprinting yesterday afternoon, will try to do the drug test on monday if possible, i have to drop another form off at the school ugh -they forgot to send me my background authorization form! Its great we didnt have to pay for the fingerprinting and drugtest - wish we didnt have to pay for the background check too lol! So excited to be getting things done!

Getting fingerprinted tomorrow and just have to figure out when I am going to get the drug testing done since they dont do that on the weekends! Do you know where the UPS store on Blanding 32073 is?

Oh and my classes Dec 13th. My transient class ends Nov 17th though so after that I will only have 4 classes woohoo lol, so I am super happy about that and am sooo ready for a break. I am pretty sure I will hit panic mode the week before classes start! I hear the first semester is like nursing school boot camp and thats where the weakest links are weeded out so we will have to make sure we get through it together!

Thanks! Yes I did the application and we have like 21papers to go through and fill out and the assessments are like 1.5hrs and 3.5hrs ugh. I think we need the basic cpr..but im not sure either and I have no idea what counyts as authorization forms, I was hoping you knew that! lol

I just turned in my paper to the accept the spot woohooo! I gave it to admisntration because of course the nursing department \was at lunch when i got there, oh well Glad I was able to turn it in! Now to do the background check and figureout where to get cpr certified!

No you are not nuts! I am married with an 8yr old an almosty 2 year old and my husband currently lives 3.5hrs away pursing his degree lol. The school more than likely will not allow you to take them botgh at the same time because one is a pre req for the other, but you may be able to take ap I as a transient student at another school and maybe even ap II depending on how your classed fall and the schedule for the other school as well. I know fscj has different start times for classes and that maybe something to look into, esp if you want to try to do both in the same semester. Good luck to you!! haha I am in that mode except I havent taken any action yet. Once I finish these 5 classes im taking now, I will be in overdrive trying to get everything all organized and figured out. I no joke had a mental breakdown when skypeing with my husband the other day!

yay!! i am either dropping mine off monday or tuesday - probably tuesday! so exciting!!

I looked at the orientation paper and it is Tuesday Nov 12th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm!!

I know right!! I about cried lol

ummmmmm background check costs $167 ***! breaking my bank already and school hasnt even started yet ugh
