  1. Case Management; many forms both in hospital, office based, home based. TCM, FCM, UR/UM, Telephone triage, Advice nurse, HH, Hospice. A lot of companies will train so do not be worried about not having this type experience.
  2. Kat Von d tattoo artist and in the reality show LA Ink has a line of makeup with Sephora specifically made to cover tattoos. Try looking up the Sephora website I think it is called "Lock-It". Many hospitals now will not let nurses or any staff show any tattoos so it is good to look into concealment so you can see what works and what you like.
  3. Hi, I have a friend who has done WC Tele Triage; one job was as a independent contractor and she got $20 a call, each call lasted about 30-45 minutes but she only got paid per call so if you covered a 12 hour shift and only received 2 calls she only got $40, but if she got 15 calls she got $300. She also had a job as WC Tele Triage and it was full time benefited M-F 0830-1700 and was paid 70K annually, both were work from home jobs. She has had both of these jobs somewhat recently so that was the pay about a year ago. Hope that helps shed a little light on some pay areas.
  4. Hi Manda may I ask what organization in CA? want to keep the info for future reference. Thanks :)
  5. It depends on what type of Case management, onsite TCM? FCM? and the location. States differ as well as cities/counties etc... within a state differ. A ballpark figure would be 70-85K annually but then again a lot factors into that including experience and certifications. Sorry I could not be more helpful. Good luck and keep us updated.
  6. Sorry to hear this, I agree the class info does look confusing. I am going to hang in there and see how the first class goes and go from there. Let me/us know if you do choose another college and how it goes. Good luck and take care.
  7. I enjoy live classes but do not find many locally, I get a lot through AAACEUS.com you can click on the section that shows what is accepted for the CCM (and other certs/license) so you know ahead.
  8. I went back and forth thru a lot of the colleges and just seemed to keep gravitating to OKWU. I do like the lower fee and ability to work at a faster pace at WGU but would have had a few additionl classes to take as well, at OKWU I do have 2 additional classes to take, an elective of my choice and a Bible class. Either way please keep in touch and let us know what you choose.
  9. I am starting the end of the month as well, excited. Maybe we can keep in touch thru the process? I think you do not hear a lot about OKWU as their online program is newer than most from what I have read, they also have a brick and mortar BSN program that has been around much longer.
