I hate nursing
Hi, Neezy84. There are other areas of nursing that don't deal with the direct bedside care. For example, our company started hiring nurses, LPNs or RNs, as marketers that are called "Clinical Nurse Liaison". It's nothing like the stress of floor nursing. It pays well. Plus, liaisons get to dress up!

What are the nurses' protection against patient accusations?
Thank you for sharing the link. It is about time states catch on. "Nurses work too hard and do too much good to not be protected." What a great way to summarize all these!

What are the nurses' protection against patient accusations?
Truly unfortunate that bad circumstance happens to good people and the trauma that comes with the situation can be very damaging to the person being accused. Sometimes, it feels like walking on eggshells with some patients with continuous history of staff accusations. Thank you for your insight.

Are nurse practitioners still on demand?
I do have to research more in my area or where I want to end up working. I agree that NPs actually listen as they've been nurses and have been in direct patient care themselves. I think it will be a great investment to get the degree. Thank you for your responses.

Are nurse practitioners still on demand?
I heard that NPs who have general practice and not have a particular specialized area are usually in higher demand.

What are the nurses' protection against patient accusations?
Indeed, long-term care facilities are a business and customer is always right. That's why I always find ways to satisfy both the family and patient while they're at our facility. When we can't meet in halfway, it's time for some documentation and administrative action to protect our job and license.

What are the nurses' protection against patient accusations?
This is very unfortunate. I've seen nurses lose their jobs and even licenses for the slightest of accusations.

I like that you don't assign employees who are at higher risk for accusation to ones who have history of accusatory behaviors. It seems that you have done long-term care for awhile. After working for some time, we can discern which patient accusations are legitimate or not.I'd like to think that employers do the same and do what's fair for good employees.

What are the nurses' protection against patient accusations?
I have worked with different long-term care facilities and it seems like every complaint or accusation made by a patient, the facility seem to favor the patient. I have seen some co-worker's fired from the job without further investigation or questioning. What is our protection against these situations? Are facilities required to do some legal process before taking action against its employee?

Are nurse practitioners still on demand?
My experience with healthcare has been with the geriatrics at long-term care facilities for about 5 years now and I have yet to see a nurse practitioner as a provider for a patient. I have only been to an NP once in my life. Do you think we still have demand for nurse practitioners? I was wondering if this will be an option for me in the future. I would appreciate your response.
