I used Kaplan also. I was shocked because I was receiving scores from 65%-80%s on the question trainers and even in most of the Q banks. Then I hit the nclex and still failed. What I'm thinking of doing this time is studying Saunders and using the Hurst book I made when I purchased it last. I don't think I'll be going back to my kaplan account because I feel I memorized questions so rather I'll study the rationales. Definitely starting at square one with you. I plan on taking the nclex again after the 45 day probation period, so hopefully end of march! Best of luck to you! I'm thinking of looking for one but I know they are expensive and feel they will just teach me things I already know just pressure me to apply. What do u think?

Hi! I am too going to take my nclex RN for the 4th time after my 45day probation period. What are you doing this time around differently? I am thinking about getting a tutor but it's very expensive. Have you gotten a tutor before? I'm so frustrated because I feel I know what the content of the question is but I guess I am answering the correct answer but not the "BEST" answer. Do you ever feel that way? Anyway, you're not alone in this. And we must believe and keep going!

I took my exam too for the 4th time today & not sure what my results are yet. But what I do know is that if I did fail again just keep trying. Do not stray away from your dreams and what you worked very hard for. You survived nursing school for so many years and put in all the work. Just keep trying, studying, focusing. Keep praying and believe that you will pass no matter how many times you have to try. You are not alone. :)

hey jenurse03! i felt like hurst helped me with understanding the content better and kaplan questions helped better with answering questions. Did you take your exam? How did you do?

Hi everyone! I took the nclex today Oct 24 @ 2PM today! I finished 2hrs later with 96 questions. I'm very skeptical about doing the PVT trick but will purchase the quick results when they come out. I felt more relaxed and my anxiety has dropped because it is my third time. I studied different techniques and focused on strategies this time. *hopefully that helped in the long run*. I used KAPLAN mostly and went over HURST content review. I've read through other threads that Kaplan questions were way harder than the NCLEX. But this also worries me because I felt like the NCLEX questions were very similiar to Kaplan structure wise but easier to a certain degree? So I'm stuck between being over confident and second guessing Anyways, on my exam I got numerous questions on priority and delegation. I had SATA every 8-10 questions or so. I had a lot of management of care and infection control. I had one math and few meds. The question before my last question was SATA and my last question was a priority one. Are these good signs? I was never sure about what exactly were "higher" level questions. Ahhhh!! I feel more nervous than I did before taking the test!! I'm staying *positive* and hoping for the best this time!! God be with us~

I'm not asking them to post it publicly. Maybe if they decide to agree we can exchange in e-mail or over phone or any other source that is comfortable for them. I've tried ncsbn already during my first attempt and I nearly memorized all the questions and answers already & didn't really like the overwhelming content. Thank you for your input though. HI! My session for kaplan has already expired & I really fell in love with the question types. I'm taking NCLEX in 3 weeks and wondering if anybody can lend me their existing account. This would be greatly appreciated! I really don't have another $600 to spend

HELP! So before I wrote a thread before about my nclex journey and most responded just to wait for my results and look at my weaknesses. I recently got my letter in the mail stating that I failed at 265 questions and on the back breakdown each section was "NEAR PASSING STANDARD". Are there any suggestions that you can input to help me prepare for my 3rd attempt to the nclex-rn? It would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you! I'll definitely look into this for strategies. I believe that I got most of the core down.. maybe it's just applying it to find the BEST answer. Once I find out my weaknesses in the mail I'll try to find ways to improve. Thanks a lot! :)
