  1. Thank you for your service. I would not disclose that information to them. You are ok now and that is what matters. They aren’t going to ask you to provide medical records. Your past is your past and you have obviously recovered some from that period in your life. Don’t be one of those people that are too honest. That’s personal information to me and none of their business. Just provide your overall health history. In nursing, you need to have all of your senses like sight, hearing, smell, etc., be generally healthy, and able to perform physical duties. You will also need to be emotionally and mentally stable. We all know ourselves best so go be a nurse.
  2. Absolutely not. Myself and many others I know from school are all over the age of 40 and hiring into many types of RN positions. I’ve been on my unit at a hospital for two years. Several new nurses over 40 and 50’s are recent hires.
  3. I am trying to figure out if the only start date available for this program is once yearly in August. I visited the website for the BSN-MSN PMHNP program at Anderson and it’s seems like a great program with reasonable tuition cost. Plus, I like the reviews I have read on this site. Any updates for the program or knowledge of start dates?
