  1. Congrats! Excited to get up there and meet everyone! [email protected]
  2. Hey everyone, Starting school this summer (very excited) and thinking about joining the navy reserves now, or when I'm finished/finishing. I have done a lot of research, but haven't officially talked to a recruiter yet and was wondering if anyone out there had any advice??? Looking for the full gamut (horror stories, positives/negatives). The one thing I've heard is if your joining solely for the money it's probably not a good idea, but it's not about that. Both parents served and I'm intrigued. Thanks for any/all responses! Cornelius
  3. Anyone else on here heading to Bloomsburg?
  4. I saw that, kinda strange that you would have to move during the program. That's a heck of a commute
  5. How does it work that the university is in central Connecticut but the hospital is in Pawtucket?
  6. Is this a joke? Still nothing on my end
  7. They have an exclusive contract with american mobile. It's a good job, great resources and GREAT staffing. I'm in the neuro ICU but I would imagine my experience is house wide. I'm pretty sure I'm heading to montefiore after Xmas. Thanks for the info!
  8. How is that??? Looking at that next, currently in Baltimore at Hopkins. ICU?
  9. Are you at montefiore? In NYC?
  10. Fastaff does, one of the few
  11. Hey everyone, Looking for an assignment in critical care in Philadelphia! Currently in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins. Anyone have any advice on hospitals or agencies? Been traveling for about 2 years now and am headed off to CRNA school in September. Ive heard Thomas Jefferson is a good hospital. Any info would help!! Thanks!
  12. Wonderful news. Thanks for the update!
  13. Sooooo, you applied to more than one school like you said before and then lied in your interview and told them you only applied to their program??? I don't advise doing that. I can't think of one reason why ANY program would care about how many programs you applied to or if you got in anywhere else. It can't hurt to know you've already been accepted somewhere else. Just play the interview by ear and if they ask, be TRUTHFUL.
  14. I totally understand that, problem for me is that I didn't have any preconceived idea about which school I liked most when applying. Every school (as you well know) offers something different whether it be: cost, location, attrition rate, length, clinical sites, faculty etc.. I didn't/don't feel like I can make an informed decision about any of them until an official campus visit for my interview.
  15. I was/am in the same boat as you (still interviewing currently). I didn't really intend to share that info during my future interviews after having been accepted at another program but it definitely came up. I was asked if I had applied anywhere else and I ended up being forthcoming about my previous acceptance. I'm not sure if it changed anything for that interview but it definitely didn't hurt (I was offered there also). I have noticed that once you do divulge that info, they do become interested in how your interview experience compares and it seems more like you are alternatively "interviewing" them (which should be true anyways). I think they realize you have a choice and that definitely helps. Hope this helps!
  16. Hey everyone, Anyone else apply to this program for summer 2014? Deadline was 9/30 for applications so I would imagine they will be letting interview candidates know in the next few weeks. Any current or former students out there for this program. Would love to know about how you like it or how the interview process went. Thanks for any responses!
