I have been waiting to start school now for 7 months and scared to death as well. I was REALLY looking forward to having 2 weeks off before school started to take some vacay and time to myself. And me too--Ive been very anxious about school starting. A few weeks ago my NM told me over the phone that my last day would be August 30th and then Id take a leave of absence for school (that ensures id be able to continue my benefits from work since when i currently work is where i got accepted into school). It also showed on our prelims ( rough draft of the schedule ) when it intially came out that it would be August 30th. Now when the finallized schedule came out, it shows that I have to work another 3 day 36 hour weekend before school starts- sept 2-4th and schools starts on the 12th. That will only give me one week off. This makes me really mad and I dont know how to approach my NM. Not sure yet if it was a mistake. I emailed her and I will not hear from her til tuesday. But I am very tempted to get ill if need be. Any advise? :angryfire

nasty pressure sores that look like they hurt and ones that will NOT HEAL! I just took care of a chronically ill pt who was very overweight and had multiple sores from fat folds, bed sores, poop/pee sores, necrotic incisional sores, old punctured necrotic site, and ones that i have no clue where they came from. They made me sqiur :chair: mmy.

Time to throw in the towel and get a new job. There are so many different jobs out there that you can be happy with. 39 residents is ALOT! I would not like my job ethier. I would rather be a bum.

Smoking wil not necessarily cause lung cancer. It makes you at high risk but is not a guarentee. Tweety is right. Know one is perfect..know one. People may pretend to be. I am learning not to be judgemental even though i dont agree with alot of things that people do. People sometimes make bad choices and we are human. On the fip side.. ill tell you one thing..I can always tell who is a smoker by their hair, nails, skin, or voice. It does affect your appereance even when you dont have a cig hanging from you mouth.

And how could someone make such a big mistake. How do you anesthetize the heart? Anatomy..seems impossible. I dont know much about anesthesia too.

That is very sad..just thinking what if that were my family The CRNA obviously needs to be looked at... practice, documentation, knowledge base, circumstances, etc. I would like to know if it was pure neglect that caused this tragic thing or if it is system error (education or facility). I would hate to jump to conclusions. :uhoh21: :chair:
