So a patient asked me to get a prescription for Xanax from the surgeon before being discharged. He told me no and instructed me to tell her to "Take a Percocet and have a glass of wine".

Help!! I was an RN at a convalescent hospital for 14 months right out of nursing school because that was the only job available at that time. I haven't worked in almost 2 years due to illness but have now recovered. I desperately want to get my foot in the door to postpartum/ L&D nursing. I loved it during nursing school and I just know that is where my heart is. But, I have no idea where to start, how to get some experience. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
