    I took NCLEX today!!! PVT?

I just got home from taking the NCLEX RN. It was the most stressful test I have ever taken in my life. I got all of the 265 questions and sat in the testing center for 5 hours. As soon as I left, I felt like I had completely bombed that test. I always hear about the pearson vue trick so I decided to try it when I got home because well lets face it, I couldn't handle the anxiety. I needed to know something. So I put in my credit and went all the way to the end to get this pop up, "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." Now I know that everyone says that is the good pop up, but I just don't know if its real or not! I will say a little about my exam. I had maybe 30 SATA give or take, but the rest...oh my goodness...priority, what do you do next, 4 math questions, ekg, etc. My test was EVERYWHERE. What is your experience? What do you think?

    I took NCLEX today!!! PVT?

Update!!!! I found out this morning that I PASSED!!!!! I still don't believe it but my license posted the very next day on the board of nursing! There were a few things that I did to prepare for this exam. First and foremost, UWORLD. I SWEAR by it. I used uworld when I studied for my LPN exam and I also used it to study for the RN. I did the entire 2500+ questions from the qbank and went over every single rationale. I also got myself a notebook and wrote the rationales down just because writing helped me remember better. I even noticed that some of the questions I took during my studies, just so happened to be on the exam! UWORLD is very closely related to the NCLEX. One other thing I recommend is the Hurst review. I know many people have mixed feelings about the Hurst but honestly, it gave me the right amount of information needed to be able to answer questions on the test. I took the online live review with hurst. Once I completed that review, I had the option to go back and listen to the videos over again. If I didn't understand anything, I would listen to that section until I understood. Its all about repetition. I think doing as many questions as you can handle a day is truly what helped me. I was taking anywhere from about 150-200 questions a day. Now that isn't the magic number of questions to do, that is just what I felt I needed to do. I have faith in everyone that takes this test. It can be conquered! You can do it!

    Preparing for NCLEX RN

Hello everyone! I wanted to get on here and talk about some studying techniques you all have been using to prepare for the NCLEX RN. For the past month, I have been studying every single day utilizing UWorld as well as Hurst for content. I just took a predictor test yesterday with UWorld and my results said "High" chance of passing. However, I still feel sometimes I am missing something and not fully getting all the questions correctly. My UWorld quizzes average from about 55%-65%. I always read each rationale for my wrong questions as well as the correct ones. Can anyone give me some feedback on what else can help me at this point? I take my test January 28 which is only a week and a half away. What are you doing for studying? Any extra tips? Thanks in advance!

    Ok, now I'm getting worried...

Well, I didn't pass. This was my 3rd try. I am really starting to lose hope here. The first time, I got near passing on all my sections. Second time was almost identical to the first. Now, I am just waiting for my results to come in to see where I stand. I don't know what I am missing here. I did uworld and kaplan. My scores ranged anywhere from 53% up to 65% on kaplan. I finished uworld with an average of 58%. What in the world am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?
  6. Alright everyone. Has anyone ever got this message before? I just took my NCLEX RN about an hour ago. "The candidate currently has test results on hold..." was the message that popped up. I know it isn't the good pop up, but there is little hope. It didn't go to the CC screen at all. As far as my test goes, these are the questions I got... Several S.A.T.P, I also got a good handful of exhibit questions, got one drag and drop where I had to do the procedure for helping the doctor insert a central venous catheter, I got a hot spot question, then as for my multiple choice I got the norm. Psych questions, therapeutic response questions and so fourth. I am not sure how I feel about my test. I know I walked out upset and wanted to cry because I feel like I failed. It just seemed like it went to fast. It shut off at 75 questions. This could be good or bad. Can anyone relate to me? Has anyone passed with this pop up and these types of questions before?? I am an absolute wreck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    NCLEX results still on hold?

My test results are still on hold after 48 hours of me taking it. Has this happened to anyone? Should I call Pearson?

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

I'm from south Carolina and my results have been on hold over 48 hours without any quick results. I keep trying to re register and get the same pop up every time. "Results on hold..."
  14. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

I know. I am right there with you. Its beyond hard waiting!!! Keep in touch though. I am praying we did good!! :) Staying positive!

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

I just checked NCSBN and my state participates in the quick results. Where are you from?
  16. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

Alright I just got off the phone with them. They said my state does not participate in the quick results either. I don't know if thats true or not, but I have a friend who tested here where I live in South Carolina, and she got her results in two days. That was this past December.
  17. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

Ha, oh geez. I think by this time, something would change. Even the pop up. I was reading of other people taking their tests on fridays and getting results on Sunday. So I don't believe what she said was accurate. Ill call now and see where I get. :)
  18. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

Let me know what they say, ill call them once I hear from you.
  19. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

I would assume pearson. I'm not sure though. Do you see a license anywhere on your board of nursing? I don't know how long that takes to show up there.
  20. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

I have no results either. Do you think it's worth calling? This is a nightmare. I hope this is a good thing for us. I just don't understand the whole "hold" situation.
  21. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

I'm still on hold, you? Diamond_girl
  22. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

Oh, I didn't know the quick results were time specific. It will be 48 hours this afternoon. Still though I figured something would change by this time. Nothing. Still on hold.
  23. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

Oh my gosh, I am also on hold! I don't even have the quick results link on my Pearson page. Normally in two days, you would be able to get that. Still nothing though. This waiting is driving me insane. Why do you think we have been on hold for so long? I'll probably call today if nothing has changed.
  24. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

Well, as of right now, my results are still on hold. It's been 24 hours since I've taken my test. I feel so silly that I keep checking Pearson to see if I'm still getting this pop up. At this point, I'd rather just know my results. It's too bad they don't just tell you your results right after the test. Anyone going through this same feeling, I know exactly what your going through. Worst feeling ever!
  25. pthomas89

The candidate currently has test results on hold...

Thank you zeus&lincoln. Yes it's very agonizing waiting for my results. It's the worse feeling ever. I did 75 questions in about 2 and a half hours. As soon as my screen went black, I thought I was going to throw up. I immediately started crying. But thanks for the support! I'm hoping for good news. :)
