  1. Well done on passing. As a nurse of 20 years standing in the UK, I have relocated to the US and feel overwhelmed with what is needed to obtain a licence to practice here. Really wishing it was a lot easier and seriously reconsidering this path. Anybody else find themselves in the same situation?
  2. Congratulations. Having just moved into Illinois, I've not yet embarked on this journey but intend to start looking at applying for a licence here. I would be glad to hear from anyone who has recently applied for a licence to practice in Illinois state. Thank you
  3. Hi Moved to Illinois from the UK several weeks ago and am looking for jobs where I don't need a licence as, having looked at what's involved in applying for a licence to work as a nurse, I cannot afford the time involved in waiting without working. I knew it would be difficult but had under anticipated the time, cost, difficulty etc it would take to get a licence. Can anyone else tell me of their experiences please. Thank you
  4. Hi I'm planning to move out to Illinois early in the new year. I'm a RGN with years of oncology/chemotherapy experience and need some help with how to prepare for working in US. Are there any English nurses who have made the transition to working in the US who can advise please? Thanks
