  1. Hey all. I am a PCT/NA whatever you wanna call it on a busy imcu/tele floor. Ive been there a little over a year. No problems working with anyone, people like working with me (get excited to see me) I feel I do my job well. No complaints from staff members. I work the 7p to 7a shift. Just on friday they were in a bind on scheduling and I even stayed extra four hours to cover a 1 to 1 to help out. We recently got someone new doing our scheduling and I told her I could not work sundays because I have a 730 am class monday mornings. (sunday isn't a weekend for nights). She told me to email her and I did. She has been making many scheduling errors. Example she put me on five nights last week, and it took me three requests to get it fixed. She puts the schedule out and final a week before it starts. Last wednesday I was checking the new schedule and saw that i was on for two sundays (our old shift supervisor never had this much trouble with staffing). So i emailed her this exact message. "Name, I told you and emailed you that I could not work sundays once school started and you have me for two. I need that to be fixed." On friday she replied with "hotpockkets,a simple email to remind me would suffice, I have a number of people who's needs I have to remember and I am sorry I did not remember yours. This was an honest mistake." And ten minutes later I received this from our floor director "Good morning hotpockkets,I see that you are scheduled to work Tuesday, September 17th. Please see me on Wednesday morning after your shift ends to discuss your email." I did then send my shift supervisor a "No problem I was just letting you know as soon as i caught it like you requested. After rereading my message I did realize how it could be easily considered offensive, I apologize that was not my intention." So do you think i could be fired over this?
  2. The other day I was at shoprite, over the loud speaker they call "help on nine" My heart started racing as I frantically looked around. I had to tell myself I am not at work and this is not an emergency. The last time someone called for help a patient decanulated herself and was turning a wonderful shade of purple!
