  1. I misread @thecommuter
  2. @runnergal pretty much education students take the same courses as FNP, including advanced patho/pharm, theory, advanced role development, health assessment, scholarly synthesis, etc. up until the last 4 semesters which are the clinicals for you all and education focused for me. I went part time and the program wasn't too bad. Its doable! It's school, and it can be time consuming so use it wisely :) you'll be okay, & good luck! Oh yeah, once you get closer to starting clinicals look a year or like 6 months in advance, it's extremely difficult to find preceptors. Even for me
  3. I'm in the MSN education program, look forward to starting the post masters certificate next summer
  4. @pennstateguy I work at memorial Hermann-TMC and your chances of getting a job in the med center with ICU experience is pretty high. As a matter of fact, I know for sure that Methodist in the med center is hiring for medical icu nurses, GOOD LUCK!

@NedRN is it time consuming to put together a pay package and contract?
  6. NurseLexx replied to NurseLexx's topic in Travel
@NedRN he's responsive just haven't provided me with what I've asked for, the pay package he just quoted it verbally. I don't know what to think.

Okay I've made a post about trying to get my first travel assignment, I'm still working with the same agency I interviewed for the facility, etc. about 2 weeks ago. They gave my recruiter a start date which is the first of the year, he called a few days later to see if I accepted I said yes, however I still haven't seen a pay package in writing. He was supposed to send it and the contract last Wednesday. Am I obligated to continue although I told him I accepted?
  8. I would pair roles and patho.
  9. @NedRN so for insurance purposes you would suggest purchasing a private plan ?
  10. NurseLexx replied to perfexion's topic in Travel
@perfexion how is this going or what did you decide to do because I'm looking forward to doing the same.

@NedRN the facility said the scheduling coordinator would call me back Monday to let me know since it's the holiday season. I talked to the recruiter again earlier and asked about the pay package he told me weekly pay after taxes once again and said he would call me back Monday once I spoke with facility. Also the facility has a ratio of 1:7 at times. I just want to make sure this is a right fit before I sign a contract
  12. Trustaff I meant sorry
  13. Trust add, medical staffing network, what agencies did you look at?
  14. Cross Country, TNAA, Supplemental Healthcare, Soliant Health, Gifted Healthcare

@NedRN yes the facility does want me
