  1. I saw the new requirements, I have a long way to go but I'm planning in cleping a few classes and hopefully get my stuff done as soon a possible, any ideas ? I hear different stories about the lpn to rn program. Some say there is no wait list , some say is long and hard to get in ....I was even considering excelsior . I just want to start the process and finish it . I hope it all goes well for you :)
  2. Hey do you have your prerequisite done ? Is it true you can apply before you finish you prerequisite? Let me know how it goes :)
  3. Heay Tasha! Thanks for you input :), 11month is really good . I'm new to the site I don't know how to pm you private. Your post really motivate me today , actually today is a year I passed the boards . I was looking into Keiser but I'm looking for work, have school children and summer daycare expenses are brutal .I want to do this fast but I'm afraid $will my #1issue . I was planning in starting with the course because financial can pay for at least 4or 5classes and hopefully when I get a job continue to pay for exams , I'm hopeful . I will appreciate very much any help , tips, study guides , anything that you felt help you and can help me . I don't have any prerequisite, I was thinking in taking the a&p 1and 2as courses as well as the harder test to study for and take exam in the not so hard subjects . Did you have a study routine ? can you pm me for the third party subscription ? About the CPNE ....yes I'm terrified !!!! Is what I think about the most . So any tips on what help you is very welcome . Thank youuuu so much for posting :)
  4. impossible .., how did you do passed ? How many time did you take it and where did you take it? How long did it take you to do all of it ? I know is a lot of question but you say it like it is. That how I'm and I want to hear it from people like you . Thank you
  5. Another question :) what's the truth behind the cpne ? When I took my nclex on I read so many post of people failing 1, 2 time and it was super hard but I went for my test it was more common sense than anything , so now I wonder why people fail the cpne or are those people with bad nursing habits? Unlucky? Unprepared? Or what ? The cpne scares me the most !!I I know in the real world things are not by the book but I but I keep good nursing habits of every day simple rules , so what was you experience ? Sorry for all the questions ... thank youuu:)
  6. thank you !!! About time lol , I said south Florida because I lived Miami and just recently moved to lake Nona , Orlando and it is central Florida :) I see your are familiar with Valencia and ucf do you know if ucf takes the ADN from excelsior ? or what local school takes them?
  7. Thank for the info how many test have you taken n how hard or easy was it
  8. I don't doubt the program is great I will most likely do it ,im just trying to see what's the smartest way to go about my pre requisites, I may do them thru flvc online or Clep , but I want to hear about recently hire in south fl
  9. Lots of views but no response, I wonder why??? Shine some light south Florida!
  10. Hi the I'm not of a study buddy either lol I'm here in Orlando too I'm looking to do lpn to rn with excelsior , I don't have any prerequisite , but I may do then in Valencia thru flvc online , how is the job market for excelsior graduates in Orlando? I'm really looking for people that are doing this so I can motivated and star . I'm scare of the cone!!n that I won't find a job but I m not going to wait in wait list , wait lists are ridicules , so much for nursing shortage. Any info you may have that may help me make the decision will be greatly be appreciate :)
  11. Are you in the Orlando area? I'm asking because I'm a lpn trying to get my rn , I need all my pre requisites , but Valencia classes are full , they have options to take the classes online ttou flvc they are always open , do you think going straight thru excelsior is better ? I was planning on taking some of the courses because financial covers , I can do 4courses witch are the harder pre requisites? Will graduating from excelsior affect the job market here in Orlando (lake Nona) area ? Sorry for all the question, I just cant seem to decide if excelsior or not , I don't want to go to classes on campus or go thru clinical craziness again, I feel I got a lot from my lpn program but the job market for excelsior graduates here in Orlando will be the fact in making my decision. Thanks !!!
  12. Sorry to hear that but I belive you over study . I took mines a year ago but let me tell you when I was studying for the nclex I wanted the best book and the truth is that they are all good n you will never as a new graduate know it all . They don't expect you too I started with sounder , it felt like I was starting all over Aging so I was recommended by a good fried to used only exam cram !n that's all I used I would put on study mode ! it has 5set of exams each with 200question I study about an 1:30everyother day with a 3yeard old watching tv so lost of interruption. learn the answer to all the question, some days I will do 100from sounders just to switch up , some sell all that applies . Best tips try to get the first one right the test work like the negative and positive number line and it always start on 0 so the more right questions you get at the beginning the harder it will be for you to fail . I hope you get it , so EXAM CRAM is the way study n learn the question , you will learn a lot you will pass and no I did not know all my lab values !!some the one we used the most .
  13. For those who recently graduated from excelsior lpn to rn program , have you found a job ? Has the fact you graduate from excelsior meant a different in getting job? i have one year as an lpn
  14. Hi, I'm a lpn here in Orlando, I have been trying to research this website n find other people doing lpnto rn local but I have so many questions I want to make the right decision. I don't have any prerequisite, I plant to clep some in Valencia or just start with excelsior . Any info that you have I will much appreciate it
