Congratulations Nurse Ronnie!!!!!

I'm starting over! After 22 years with AT&T and getting laid off, I finally decided it was my chance at becoming a nurse. I've always wanted to, but never had the courage to take that step. I was a single mother and 2 children. A job that paid well and benefits, but no security. Lol! Which is why I'm here now. I live in MI, and wanted to know if their are any nurses out here that have taken the LPN program at Oakland Univ. Riverview? I hear its only a 15 mos. course, which is good because I really need to get back to work. Unemployment , doesn't pay the bills... But I'm confused on whether I should take the time and do the Lpn, or just go for the RN. ( which is what I wanted) Mom is a retired RN and says jobs are limited for LPN and that Bridge programs are few and far between. HELP!!! I don't want to feel like I'm wasting time. Any advice?
