Sarah with 152 points you will DEF be accepted! Esp in the spring semester. I wish i didn't have to wait until fall but i decided to take AP2 Lab next semester so i can ensure i get an A in Psychology this semester!

Oh, and i have retaken the hesi since this initial post and brought my scores up. I scored a total of 93.48 overall on the hesi now! So 113.48 out of the 120 and my gpa is a 3.66

Yes that is a good study guide. I would look over the algebra section but don't worry too much about algebra. The math consists of mostly adding subtracting multiplying and dividing fractions, also proportions and ratios. There are some other general math questions but we had a on screen calculator. Hope this helps!

Hello, not trying to discourage you from taking the test whenever you want but if you don't even know what kind of vocab is on the test i think it would be better for you to take at least another week to study for it. If you study from the two links that i am about to give you, you should do well on the vocab. The vocab is one of the hardest parts of the exam in my opinion. First go to this site and play this game over and over until you get a perfect score. HESI A2 - Vocabulary (Evolve Reach A2 Exam Review, 2nd Ed.) | Word Dynamo Second go to this pdf and go to the vocab section and learn all of the terms listed. Well id really like to get into Fall 14'. So i guess i will retake the hesi. I recalculated and id have 143 points. So i know i will have to retake the hesi. I will probably do that again within the next 2 weeks..

Thanks, I think im going to go ahead and apply to Fall 14' with the 142.5 (also completed humanities, micro bio, and micro bio lab) and see if i get in. If not then i will retake the hesi and apply to spring.

Just wanted to start a new thread for the applicants of the fall 14' semester. Hopefully i will find some future applicants on here to go through the process with! I took my first attempt on the hesi on wed aug 28th scores as followed: Math: 90 Reading: 90 Grammar: 90 Vocab: 84 I think i will use my second attempt to try to get that Vocab score up a little higher. Hello everybody, I recently took the Hesi A2 and my average score came out to be a 88.5. Does anybody know if this will be rounded to an 89? Or does it stay at an 89? This was never explained and i would really like to know.. Someone please help!!

Just an FYI. I knew i was right. That is a Proportion question. The ratio questions were more like 7 of 8 students are girls. How many of the (random number) of students are girls.

5rebel5 They are exactly the same! If you know the math in the book you will do great! Make sure you know how to add subtract multiply and divide fractions, know how to solve proportions and ratios.

I used the blue book. Its the 2nd edition the purple is the 3rd. There isn't much of a difference in them. Thanks about the scores also but i think i am going to retake it. We are allowed to take it twice so why not take advantage of it i guess.

Hello everybody, I took the hesi wed at TCC and scored a total of 88.5 with the extra points totaling 106.5. First off does anybody know it if they round up to an 107? Or does it become a 106. Also i will be applying with a 3.66 GPA for the Fall of 14' semester so putting me at about 142.5 to 144 points depending if they do any rounding. Will this be enough to get me into Fall if not do i have a good chance at getting in Spring? By the time spring gets here i will have completed both co reqs as well so hopefully that will help.

tiffanies Most of the vocab on my test came right out of the evolve book version 2. There were a couple of other words that didnt come from the guide but if your on quizlet you should be golden. As everybody else has already stated. Calm Down! It is not nearly as bad as its made out to be. The math does have a lot of fractions and proportions. There were only like 2 conversions on my test and they were ml to m and then m to ml. I had one military time question, and no roman numerals. The Vocab came mostly from the book, but there were also a couple of other words thrown in there. I really suggest spending the most time on this section in which you havent already learned all the material in grade school. Go to quizlet.com and study study study. The Grammar was very straight forward. They give you a sentence and then ask you what is wrong with it, or which word is misspelled. Look carefully at the words FROM and FORM i had quite a few in which those words were used in eachothers place. Also DO NOT combine the words A and Lot alot is not a word. There were also questions that asked which sentence is correct. Not hard just take your time. The reading was the easiest. the paragraphs are tiny, and very easy to understand unlike the tricky ones in the book. My Scores: Math:90 Vocab:86 Reading:90 and Grammar:90

Ughh.. Im right there with you on this vocab situation. Did you notice if a lot of the words came from the evolve reach guide? Also on the math portion do you remember if the majority of it was fractions and proportions like everyone else is saying?

Im having a similar problem.. Ive been reading a lot that there are a bunch of "ratio" questions.. Can someone explain to me what that would consist of? I know how to solve a proportion, but what is a ratio question? Is it just like changing a decimal or fraction into ratio form?

I will be applying for Fall 2014 with hopes of getting in my first attempt; however if not i guess ill be applying again in the spring. :) I will be applying with 3.6 gpa and im going monday aug 26th to sign up to take the hesi. Any suggestions on studying tips? I have the Evolve study guide and pretty much know it front to back.
