Applied to USF BSN program Fall 2014
Hi Vera! I know my overall GPA isn't that great but my prereq grades are good. I just haven't completed the full anatomy sequence yet and I'm taking microbio now. Does volunteer experience in a hospital count for a lot? I had two internships over the last four years so I hope that means something..

Applied to USF BSN program Fall 2014
Hi guys! I wanted to start a thread for the University of San Francisco Fall 2014 applicants. Did anybody already apply? I'm kinda nervous because my cumulative GPA is on the low side :/ My prereq's are A's and B's though and my essay is good. I hear it's really competitive to get into.

Please give advice regarding vocational school and higher degrees??
What sort of credit are they trying to take. I have many units from a community college and UC Davis so those are accredited, and my prereq courses will be from accredited schools. It's just the nursing courses that are not. I'll have my COE from the vocational school though..so does that mean I have to get my RN and BSN from other vocational schools?

Please give advice regarding vocational school and higher degrees??
I am applying to nursing school but I do not want to be on a waitlist so I've decided to go to either Xavier or Unitek College both of which are vocational schools. They are accredited by some organizations and offer federal funding but not by the ACEN/NLNAC. My question is, if I get my LVN from one of these schools and want to go on for my RN and BSN, will I have a difficult time getting into non-vocational schools? Like OHSU or Sac State? I am not understanding the difference between a community college and these voc schools, because either way you receive your certificate after passing the NCLEX right? Any iformation would be helpful! Thanks.
