  1. I feel that your right to a certain point. But I also believe that there should have a balance
  2. That is amazing an amazing advice and opinion from now on when I'm in school I'll be looking back on this thread for support
  3. hi nurses and future nurse I was wondering in everyone's own opinion why it is important on looking and staying fit ? I honestly want to see different reasons other than "being healthy and looking good" and also what type of excercise would you guys suggest that every nurse should do more often when exercising to perform really well in the career or school
  4. It is the start of school. All excited . but I only have my first aid certification. My mask fit certification. And my stethoscope. I don't have my medical immunization done yet my drivers license my books and my police check yet. And school starts very soon like in a week time . do you think I'll b okay for now?
  5. I have to agree . and I want to be also expand on why I agree. The nurses who are in it for the money may be able to do the work properly but at the same time there would always be a time where the money won't be enough to carry them through the hardest times in their lives in terms of caring for patients . I remember reading the book "making of a nurse " by tilda shalof who is a nurse herself and had said that the people who are in it for the money WILL NOT last in nursing school or even in the work field. It doesn't have to be right away but it will happen in their further lives because "they can't handle it" or "its too depressing" that is why a lot of nurses warns people if its for you and you have the passion do it but never go in "just for the money" or " its easy to get a job after school" they say that you WILL NOT succeed.
  6. Thank you so much only a true nurse like yourself would acknowledge others for success and accomplishments for others
  7. Hey guys I posted a thread of "ways to keep goals on becoming successful in nursing" within the LPN/LVN section. But I am so determine in receiving great suggestions that I decided to post one in general student section as well. I want to have ideas from all the nurses who can tell me and everyone else on how to stay far away from any type of distractions that can hinder our study habits and increase our procrastination. This time i and I'm sure others on here wants to be able to keep their goal promises and succeed nursing school with great averages. I had made many promises when I was in pre nursing school to get an above average and because of my many distractions that I had allowed to surface in my life, I had end up with an "average score" because of my big dream on becoming a nurse practitioner having an average score would not take me to far and not even with practical nursing. Again I hope to hear from all of you with many suggestions and I will write them down to KEEP OUR PROMISE as successful nurses. Thanks again.
  8. Hi guys I was actually wondering how I can actually make sure we can actually keep our goals on not being distracted by social life and media that has no relation towards our nursing and to always stay on top of our courses. Please give a suggestion for all of us because I'm even looking to write them down. I just fine that from my past experience I would make promises and goals to accomplish and end up following my promises at the end of the program which had only given me an "average score". So please guys I want this to be different for me and everyone else. Any suggestions?
  9. All your comments are very true . especially for clinicals, I really needed this information so that I'll be able to clarify towards certain people in my life why exactly I need a licence and a vehicle even if it means to finance one
  10. I'm wondering if having a car and a drivers licence is just as important in getting medical supplies for nursing. If it is can someone tell me why?
