I just found this board!!! Can't believe it, still in shock, but I got in!!! I really didn't expect to get in and I met so many people here in Denver who applied and would be great nurses, including someone who treated my daughter in the ER. I would've been a nurse no matter what, but I am so glad I can stay in Colorado and not move out east for school. If anyone needs help finding a place to stay near campus or further away that is family friendly, don't hesitate to ask. I've lived in Denver for 2 years and I have two kids of my own. Can't wait to meet everyone. For those wanting to know the stats of admits (I know I did while applying) here are mine. 3.4 overall GPA. 3.8 post-bachelorette GPA. I am a volunteer at Skyridge Hospital in Lone Tree CO in the ER. I am a veteran's wife and I had a kick a@@ essay. My first two years of college were my poorest, but after that I got above a 3.5 GPA consistently. My first degree was information systems. Hope this helps. Also I volunteer a lot in the community outside of the healthcare field. AHH, I'm so happy, this acceptance is totally unexpected for me. I was literally 6 months away from moving to Philadelphia and going to school out there.
