  1. Thanks for the suggestions… unfortunately, relocating is out of the question for me, as I am married and my husband has a pretty permanent job in San Francisco. I would be willing to commute somewhere close, but moving away for 6 months isn't feasible for my marriage.
  2. Hi all, I'm super discouraged here. Graduated with my BSN last Nov and have yet to get my first job as an RN. I live in San Francisco and the job market here is fierce. Everyone says it's all about networking and who you know, but I just don't know that many people here. I'd love to work in L&D or the NICU, but as a new grad, I'm sure those are likely out. Does anyone have advice on how to land a job without having to offer up my first born to do so? Thanks in advance for any help!
  3. Are you at Samuel Merritt?
  4. Use Scotch Guard!
  5. I just got the email today that says we have to wear white tops and blue pants to clinicals and skills labs. Classes are casual dress. I didn't know about the mixer, otherwise I'd have gone. I still need to do my CPR certification and figure out all the health forms etc. Also, I was trying to see if there is a bookstore at the San Mateo campus, but the only one that came up was in Oakland. Is it possible there's only one? Seems like they'd have one at each campus...
  6. Hey CKCK, I'm also admitted with the fall 2013 ABSN cohort in San Mateo. I've been looking all over to see if there's a way to get a head start of getting books & supplies etc. Also, do you know if we get to wear scrubs to class?
